Welcome to finish it up Friday!
I finished knitting another pair of socks this week--my 14th pair to date! I love gray and I wear a lot of it. It was surprisingly difficult to find a decent gray sock yarn, but I found some on a trip to Duluth earlier this year. I used my basic sock pattern, which you can find here. I'm sure that these socks will be in heavy rotation this coming fall/winter. They are so comfortable!
One year ago, I had a sock finish as well! Isn't that funny?
Also, today, I am finishing up my 30's. That's right...I turn the big 4-0 tomorrow. I'm not sure that I'm excited about that finish, but I guess it's better than the alternative! Ha!
One more thing...thanks for all your sweet comments on my upcoming Craftsy class. I appreciate your support more than I can say! xoxo
Now it's your turn! Please link up your finishes for the week. Thanks for joining me! I hope you all of you in the US have a great and safe holiday weekend!
Happy Birthday for tomorrow - hope you have a great day. It's not so bad being in your 40's - I can dimly remember that...

ReplyDeleteYour socks look so comfy and cozy. My kids think you aren't old until you're 50. So you still have 10 good years left! Happy (one day early) Birthday, Amanda Jean!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! I hope you celebrate in style!
ReplyDeleteI've been trying to find the link up button for my sidebar on my blog ~ I couldn't find it on your blog. Is it still available?!
Happy birthday, Amanda Jean! I'd say you've had a pretty satisfying 30's - successful blog, a book, and a Craftsy class, among other things! Can't wait to see what your 40's bring!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! What a great weekend to celebrate on. I loved my 40's-I hope yours are filled with wonderful things too.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! The forties are just fine. I had my youngest child when I was forty! Hope the coming year brings you a wealth of peach and good cheer.
ReplyDeleteA silly question about your wonderful socks.... Do you feel sad when they start to wear out? My sister knit me a gorgeous pair and I wear them sparingly because I walk about in socks all the time and don't want to get a hole in these. Silly, but they took so much work to make!
happy birthday, lady! glad you are doing well!
ReplyDeleteI adore grey too, but my knitting skills.. Needless to say I best I dont even attempt socks
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Lady, remember 40 is the new 30
XO
Happy Birthday ! Don't worry about that finish, rolling into your 40's isn't that bad ;)

ReplyDeleteMary Ann
Happy Birthday. Hope all your wishes come true.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! Forty sounds pretty young--it is all relative. The age I hated most was 35 because I changed categories in surveys from 25-34 into 35-50. The big 0s following that didn't bother me. Now Im in 65 to infinity category. LOL The categories keep getting bigger.
ReplyDeleteGreat pair of socks. I have three on the needles. One was almost finished till I noticed I'd made the toe sideways instead of the way it should be.
Happy Birthday Amanda Jean...I'd love to go back to my 40's...great years. I hit a mile stone this year...turned 65 a few months ago. Great Friday finish, lookin like a comfy pair of socks for this winter!! Enjoy your day!!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! Cute socks too!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! Your whole country is celebrating your 40th, even if they don't know it. 40 is
ReplyDeletea great liberation; you are who you are and it matters not what anyone else thinks. Have a great day.
Happy Birthday to you!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday..........
ReplyDeleteIch habe gerade รผber deine Socken gelacht wir haben in Deutschland 40* Grad ;)
Happy birthday Amanda Jean.
ReplyDeleteI'm celebrating YOU today! Happy birthday and happy socks.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! I am a few years ahead of you and can reassure you that it will all be ok.
ReplyDeleteI cheered myself up leading up to the big 4-0 by listening to Billy Connolly sing 'Jesus Christ, I'm nearly forty'. There really is a silly song for every occasion.
Wishing you a very happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday...and oh how I'd love to be 40 again!!! Enjoy...I'm 62 now & still going strong...so you WILL survive the big 4-0!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your socks! And your craftsy class in the last post! And the big 4-0. Let me just say that 4-0 is easier than 5-0. :P
