Welcome to finish it up Friday!
I have two quilts that I'm working on hand binding at the moment, so hopefully next week is a BIG finish week. In the meantime....
I managed to finish yet another scrap happy purse! I believe that this is my 4th one. My son said that they all look the same. Now, I don't think he necessarily meant it as a compliment, but I took it as one! :) I forgot to add the magnetic snap to this one (doh!) but I think it will work anyway.
This is scrap project # 83/101. It's been almost a month since I finished a scrap project. Boy, I'm slipping! Thank goodness for finish it up Friday once again.
Now it's your turn! Please link up your finishes for the week. THANKS, as always, for joining me for finish it up Friday! It wouldn't be the same without you!
I love every single one of your scrappy happy purses!! I should make myself one some day :)

ReplyDeleteyes, back to scrappy. a month is a long time for you. Love the quilting contrasting direction of the strips.
ReplyDeleteAnother fun scrap project. I especially like that peek of aqua inside.
ReplyDeleteOne of these would never be enough! Love, love, love the scrap fiesta (and nothing is lovelier than an aqua lining). :o)
ReplyDeleteWishing you an awesome weekend!
Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteIf they all look the same it's ok they're all beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing all your inspiring scrap projects, Amanda Jean. This purse is super sweet! Love that bright lining you chose!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful and colorful bag.Love it!
ReplyDeleteThe bag is awesome. I have to thank you for this linky party. It keeps me moving forward for one thing, but I also get to meet so many bloggers and see their cool stuff. I couldn't ask for better inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI think its beautiful. And about the magnetic snap, maybe you can attach a small strap with a button on the other side instead? That way you still get the function you want from the snap.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing and thanks for the link up. I hope my finished place mat tops are ok for a finish it up friday link. Have a great weekend.
The bag is gorgeous Amanda. As always thank you for hosting the linky party. Have a great weekend. Marie xxx (mlismmore@optusnet.com.au)
ReplyDeleteThis is such an awesome bag! I love how colorful it is. And I love the size, perfect for so many things. Well done!
ReplyDeleteYour bag looks lovely. Great Summer accessory. I made a different type of bag from scraps or strips recently. Winding strips around cotton clothesline rope and then sewing together with a zigzag stitch. I posted about it just this month. You might be interested in trying it. My friend showed me how to make it, but I can't remember whose book she purchased with the design in it.
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful! The handles give it a designer look. Wow!
ReplyDeleteLove the bag, you have amazing ways to use up scraps. x
ReplyDeleteThat is my favorite bag ever!
ReplyDeleteI love this! Do you find those handles to be very secure and hold up well? I've never tried them.
ReplyDeleteLove that purse. Will have to add that to my "to do" list. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDelete(((HUGS))) Susanne :)

ReplyDeletethis is awesome! I never think about doing this, but you using up your scraps is inspiring - I think when I make one, I will make a recessed zip, I love those!
