I've been starting quilts like crazy lately. So many that I've decided that (for a short time) I will quit counting my WIPs. It's a slippery slope!
I'm teaching a few classes up in Fargo next month and I need to make a class sample. This pattern is Nap Like an Egyptian (by Cheryl) from Sunday Morning Quilts. I had the hardest time deciding on a color scheme, but I finally settled on these fabrics.
It's a lovely selection of solids (from RJR Fabrics) and prints by Anna Maria Horner. I had to give myself a few pep talks before cutting into them. It's all just fabric, right? (Maybe someday I will actually believe that!)
Ooooh. I love the fabrics you chose here. What a striking combination! But I tend to really enjoy your fabric selections. And the star quilt in your previous post - well, can't wait to see that one:)

ReplyDeleteI cut up one I've been holding on to for a year or two. It's perfect for what I'm using it for, but all of the sudden I found myself missing it. I may have to order a yard to pet it from time to time! :)

ReplyDeleteWe buy so many fabrics, but we don't really want to use them! Just look at and feel them. Perhaps we should all buy twice as much, then we can use some and keep some!
