I've been starting quilts like crazy lately. So many that I've decided that (for a short time) I will quit counting my WIPs. It's a slippery slope!
I'm teaching a few classes up in Fargo next month and I need to make a class sample. This pattern is Nap Like an Egyptian (by Cheryl) from Sunday Morning Quilts. I had the hardest time deciding on a color scheme, but I finally settled on these fabrics.
It's a lovely selection of solids (from RJR Fabrics) and prints by Anna Maria Horner. I had to give myself a few pep talks before cutting into them. It's all just fabric, right? Ooooh. I love the fabrics you chose here. What a striking combination! But I tend to really enjoy your fabric selections. And the star quilt in your previous post - well, can't wait to see that one:)
These colors are perfect for this graphic pattern. Have fun!
I cut up one I've been holding on to for a year or two. It's perfect for what I'm using it for, but all of the sudden I found myself missing it. I may have to order a yard to pet it from time to time! :)
Oh, have fun in Fargo!
Starting new quilts is ALOT of fun, isn't it?!
So gorgeous! Might need to make one myself! :)
What beautiful fabrics and pattern!
I'm loving everything you do! But I have one question...do you e.v.e.r. sleep??
When are you going to Fargo? I only live about 80 miles from there, and would love to go see you if possible.

It is just fabric... And from what I can see sew far... You won't regret this!
I am SOOO tempted to start a new quilt right now! I want to start a blooming nine patch in the worst way, but I know I can't even think about it right now. I have too many projects on the table.
I love these colours and much prefer them to the ones in the book. I hadn't even considered making this quilt until I saw your choices. Thanks for sharing. x
We buy so many fabrics, but we don't really want to use them! Just look at and feel them. Perhaps we should all buy twice as much, then we can use some and keep some!
I just came across your blog about a week or two ago and I am really enjoying it. I have always wanted to make a quilt but felt it would be a big undertaking - maybe I'll get the courage after reading more of your blog.

Let's just start a new weekly post in addition to your finish it up Fridays. We can call it WIP Wednesday. No one needs to know if it's an aged WIP or a brand new one. ;)
Very graphic! And as always, I love your color palette!
