Today I learned that Sunday Morning Quilts is already headed for it's second printing. What?!?!?! It was only 2 short months ago that the first batch arrived on my doorstep. This whole book experience has been quite surreal. A big THANK YOU to all of you who have supported us throughout this journey. It means so much. Really. I would be remiss if I didn't say a big THANK YOU to the folks at C&T, who have been aMAZing to work with. Seriously amazing.
I found a bit of time to play with some scraps today, just for fun. That totally made me happy. Now that I'm posting this photo, I'm not sure that anyone else can appreciate the beauty in this mess. I'm nearly drowning in scraps, but I don't mind. Not one bit. The possibilities in this basket make me giddy. (I may need help.)
I'm headed to Madison tomorrow for the book signing and then the retreat! It's been months of planning, prepping, sewing, planning. The piles I have been making are ready to take over. And so are my lists. :o) I'm so ready to retreat! It will be fun to sew for the entire weekend and as a bonus, I get to meet up with my pal Terri. I can't wait!
As far as the small projects sew along, I'm still working on it. More on that later!

Very cool and congratuations. It was really neat to see it in a local shop and be able to tell the shop owner that I "know" one of the quilters resposible for all the wonderfulness.
congrats on the book, I finally got mine about 2 weeks ago. I think it is the first quilting book that I have literally read word for word, cover to cover! I just love it!
That looks like a very happy basket of scraps!

I'm not surprised at all - it's a terrific book. I've already picked out three projects I HAVE to do from it and my mother (who has been in a sewing slump) has picked out one as well. I'm ready for your next one --
Is so happy for you :)

Wow!!! How fun to play with all those scraps!!!
Congrats on the book, I would highly recommend it. I even sorted my scraps into diff colours! Making a scrappy quilt from just my scraps because of your book! Thank you for sharing it with us. Fi
Just have to tell you how much I love your book! The more I look, the more ideas start to queue up...
I brought the book to my guild meeting, and a lot of women kept asking me how to buy your book. No wonder there's a 2nd edition out! I hope many of them will ship to Norway!
; )
Congratulations! That's great!
Wow a second printing already! That's awesome! Congrats! Have fun at your retreat, I wish I could make it to one of them sometime. :)
Can I tell you I SO wish I could have gotten the day off to come see you in Madison! It is a 3 1/2 hour drive (I have a great friend who lives there) but alas it was not in the stars! I hope you come closer!!
The second printing?!?! {insert squeal of glee for you} What a great bit of news!
That scrap pile is awesome. If I could reach out through my computer screen while your back was turned, I would pick up that strip from the back of the rainbow quilt. It is just so cheery!
Have loads of fun this weekend. I hope the teaching goes well and that you learn something great from the attendees too.
Congratulations on the second printing and to your very much deserved success. I hope the upcoming events are a blast for you.
I love scrap bins! If I could reach through the computer screen I"d snatch that argyle rainbos strip. Yoink!
Congrats on your 2nd printing!
Congratulations on the book news! Obviously, you struck a chord with a lot of people. Good job. Now, can I buy a book from you directly and have you sign it?
Congrats to you of the second running of your book. I can't wait to get a copy. I was hoping to meet you tonight but my son and I are working the food pantry at our church. I did finish the ragged squares top and wanted to show you how it turned out. I will just email you pictures when I get a chance. Enjoy your time tonight and this weekend.
Blessings
Amy
Congratulations! I have your book and love it so I can easily see how that happened.
Congrats on your book! I have only had time to look through your book and I am so looking forward to working on some of the projects, in fact your scraps are an inspiration!
Any chance of book 2 in the future!!
Can't wait to hear about retreat. Have fun!
I'm in the UK & have just ordered your book! Cant wait to get it!
Exciting news about your book!
Missouri Star Quilt Company has a tutorial for a scrap busting quilt called the Wacky Web. I just got the template.
Putting together a book has got to be a ton of work, so your hard work is paying off! Congratulations! Have fun on your trips!
Congrats! I'm glad you are getting to relish in your success! Have fun! Have a great time with Terri!
It doesn't surprise me one little bit that the book has gone into a second printing! It's just that good. Something beautiful is going to come out of that pile of scraps and I can't wait to see what it is. Have fun with Terri. Wish I was there too, to see you both and learn how to do some machine quilting.
I just ordered that book from Amazon last week and got it in the mail today!! It's supposed to me to me for Mother's Day but I had to peek!! I want to make everything in it!
Thanks wonderful news! Woohoo!!
Can I come over to play in those scraps with you? ;o)
Have you ever made mini quilts with all your scraps? Congratulations on the book. You must feel so proud. What a great accomplishment!
Your book is great! I have filled up my project boxes (made 7) with lots of scraps and it feels so good to have them organized!!! Thanks!!!!
I used to quilt many years ago but lost my interest because of the time required by the artistic quilts and the lack of interest for the traditional style. With your book I have gained the inspiration for quilting again. No wonder your book is selling well!
Congrats! Scraps are fun! The booth looked amazing from Terri's blog!
Congratulations. I love your book and can't wait to pick a project for my scraps. I was so excited I took it to my little modern quilt guild and one of the other girls had it as well!
Congrats on the book!I am very much impressed with your work..
