finish it up Friday, week 23

Welcome to finish it up Friday!
I have no finish to share today...Friday sure came quickly this week! I'm plugging away at quilting my rainbow log cabin quilt. I'm actually kind of excited though, because I let my "real life" take precedence over my self imposed quilt deadlines more than usual this week. That feels pretty darn good. :) I'm also excited because this quilt is looking better with each quilting line that I add. Woo-hoo! Now, if I can just figure out what to quilt in those grey borders....

How about you? If you have a finish to share today (and I hope you do!), please link to a specific post from the past week. We'd love to cheer you on as you finish!

Happy Friday to you!

I saw some fabulous fabric on this quilt. I really like the straight line quilting. For other people it seem like the most easy and simple quilting method, but I found it is hard to keep my lines straight.

Such a colorful quilt, I really like how it looks. The straight line quilting looks fabulous. I know how hard it is to quilt straight lines!

Such a beautiful quilt! I love how colorful it is. Even though you may not have a specific finish for today, sounds like you had a very productive week. That always feels great too!

Sew inspiring around here. Ha Ha. A little spelling joke. Thanks for hosting. Just spending the past hour looking around and now there are twice as many more to look at. I will have to get to work and look again tonight.

Love the quilting! I worked on a few things for my Etsy shop, but didn't post about them yet.

I can't wait to see this quilt finished! I hope you also share a few details/tips on sewing the straight lines free motion style. Are you doing a spiral pattern? In the snippets of photos that I've seen so far, I haven't been able to tell. :)

Love your log cabin quilt. Look forward to seeing the finished product. You inspired me to start another log cabin quilt. Been years since I made one, but I have lots of scraps that I can use and I am plodding along now.

That quilt looks great! Rainbows have played a big roll in my week as well. Thanks for the link up.

For the borders, I wonder if you could plot out various rectangles, maybe some with echoes, to play up the shapes in the main part...

I think it's great that you let real life dictate where your energy went. That's a big accomplishment. Besides, the fact that now you get to enjoy the quilting process will make this quilt even more exciting to finish. It's going to be a beaut!
