I started yet another quilt....the third start in one week's time. Sheesh! I'm using my neutral scraps and sewing them together using the slab technique, as shown in my book
Sunday Morning Quilts. (yay!!!) I bet I run out of steam on this project before I run out of scraps! :)

ReplyDeleteThose "oatmeal" blocks don't have to be a whole quilt - they'd be great applique backgrounds - or a great base for a pillow! Either way, I think they're great!

Oh my! the retreat is actually near me!! I had no idea you lived even in the same region of the country as me, let alone that close! (well, assuming you live somewhere close to the retreat! Unfortunately my little baby is too little to leave overnight, but this does sound like fun!! (the other hard part, I suppose, would be that I do all my sewing and quilting on a 1953 Pfaff in a cabinet... way too heavy to bring somewhere for a retreat. :(

ReplyDeleteIt's fun to see the different values in these blocks. Since they are all different sizes I'm eager to see how they are used or pieced into a top.
