The fine folks at Connecting Threads saw my post awhile back, and as a thank you sent me some of their Essential PRO Thread. I was shocked that they had seen my post, and even further amazed that they sent me some thread as a thank you. What a pleasant surprise! They also sent me some fabric to pass along to my readers. I have 3 stacks (similar to a layer cake) of Sweet Remembrance fabric to give away. So you know the drill, if you would like to win a stack, leave me a comment here. Your stacked coin quilt inspired my quilting passion. I made one for each of my friend's twins. I was such a beginning and now I am obsessed. Thank you for teaching me! This is awesome. I like Connecting Threads fabrics and thread. My mother designed a cute baby quilt using the birds on a wire (?) fabrics -- it was great to use. I'm making hexies with some of mine. I have to tell you how pleased I was to see your original post. I'd just gotten a Pfaff Hobby Quilter and was distressed by the cost of the threads recommended by the original owner. Particularly when I saw how fast I went through a spool. I'd ordered one cone of EssentialPro and your post made me feel so much better about it. The spool came and it is AWESOME in my Pfaff, even in the bobbin! I've ordered more colors and I can't wait to play. I've been a Connecting Threads girl for a long while now and I'm pleased to see they're doing right by you.

How nice of connecting threads to do this.I use the cotton thread - I almost have one of each color which I use mostly with my applique. I have never tried their fabric .... this would be a great introduction!!

I need to start ordering my thread from the USA. I just paid £4.30 for 400m of thread and the price horrified me. That equates to about US $6.50. Ouch. Worth paying shipping costs and giving Connecting Threads another appreciative customer!

Thanks for your ideas, your recommendations and your tutorials. I've been a silent follower for sometime now. Only been quilting for a year. Our church makes quilts to give to those who are terminally ill, have just lost a loved one or are in and out of the hostpital.
