I made myself a new little pincushion the other day. I absolutely LOVE it!
It's made with a pieced back....
and itty bitty scraps. Not a bit of those precious bliss dots gets thrown out at my house!
Pattern can be found in this book.
When I make something this cute, why do I have to urge to make 100? or 1000?

Have you made 1000 yet?
What did you fill it with?
ha ha ha...I do the same thing! Then I have 50 of something cut out and then the next cute thing comes along. Oh well, guess I will catch up someday. Your pin cushion turned out super cute!
Too cute!
Um, same thing happens to me... and since you're looking to make a 100 anyways, I LOVE those bliss dots too (wink, wink) :o)
I am about due for a new pincushion. ;) Just saying.
I love what you have done. I have some scraps that would be perfect. I can't seem to throw them away either. No matter now small.
Thanks for sharing.

Very Cute. I saw dots just like at Mill End today. I did not check the brand, just forced myself to keep walking. They were adorable though.
SO cute! And the Hello Kitty ribbon? Hello! So perfect! I want some!
Isn't it amazing how the simplest things give us so much pleasure....not that writing your name in thread is simple!:)
Love the tag...great idea. I have some fun twill tapes and that's the perfect thing to do with them and yes...what did you use for stuffing?
I am that way to, once I find something I love I have to make many of them. Great gift idea to.
I adore the hello kitty tag to :)
Good Stuff Amanda
And the Hello Kitty tags comes from where? This IS total cuteness!
That is adorable, I love it.
Love this :) Just putting you on my blogs I follow list as recommended by Canton Village quilt works. Regards Vicki
Cuteness indeed! Go ahead, make 1,000. I'll take one. :)
The good Lord gives you that urge so that you can share them with your bloggy friends! LOL! Just so cotton pickin cute!
You're right! It's adorable! Your name looks awesome--was that you first shot? Totally impressed! Hope you're feeling better!
Eeeeek -- it's adorable! I love the cute little kitty tag!
To jump on the question bandwagon, was your name hand stitched or machine? I'm eager to hear about the stuffing. And, f you are going to make 1000s of them, I'd love one of your signature pieces.
Very cute...looks like a great way to use scraps
I just love it!!! And I have some Bliss I need to use. :o) Thanks for sharing, Amanda Jean!
It is even cuter in person!
You sound like me. Did you see my white with red pieced pincushions and then doll quilt. Man, I had a hard time stopping......
This is soooo super cute!!!! I'd want to make a bunch too. Your embroidery is perfect.
Oh! Made me squeal in delight! Now I'm going to make one for me!
Perfectly precious!
It is adorable! I need to make myself a pincushion now.;)
That is so darling! I must make one for myself now! Although mine won't say Crazy Mom Quilts ;o)
How super cute! You can make one for me too if you'd like ;) since you have the urge to make more that is!
Fabulous job! Love it!
It might be called "the cute sewing and quilting Virus",
and t is rather contagious.
Your pincushion is adorable.
Thats so lovely, and i bet it was fiddley to make to, love your choice of fabrics, dee x
Very cute indeed :o)!!!
I love the little splash of the red dots, and such a cute tag too! Well done :)
Um, yes, extreme cuteness! I want one too! Such a great way to use those itty bitty scraps, which I'm on a mission to use.
You should make at least one more and send it to me. :-) So cute.
Whoa! That is one pricey book! I've been inspired by your blog to get back into random piecing and have just finished using the scraps from my Sew Hip Mystery Quilt to make smaller pieces for a baby quilt.
Not all the blocks for the baby quilt were used and a darling pin cushion would be a great way to use them up.
Also, what is it filled with? Is there any kind heavy fiber on the bottom side to keep pins from poking through the back?
I love the embroidery. Years ago, in college, I took a freehand machine embroidery class (1977) and over the years have used it to decorate a lot of things.
look at you in ALL your massive cuteness!!!
So so cute! I'm happy to see you make something just for you :-) Now go poke the heck out of it and get back to work. We all wait on pins and needles (hello, pun, thanks for coming!) for your next project!
Adorable! Love all the little details!
definite cuteness!
Is so lovely! <3<3<3
That is stinkin' cute! I love the little tag you added. Nothing goes to waste, but you make it look so darling.
cuz you're gonna make ME one!?? LOL!!
Oh yes....those Bliss dots would never make it to the round file in my house either....luv the Hello Kitty Tag.....darling pin cushion (o:
That is adorable. I am exactly the same, when I make something sweet and quick, I plan on making hundreds!

Lovely!!!!
I know, addictive isn't it?? So cute and love the label :)
This is a fantastic idea! I've been looking for some small, quick to finish projects lately and this will fit the bill nicely. I may play with my own design for them.
Just curious...what do you fill your pincushions with? I've heard of so many different options but have yet to make my own.
Love your blog!
I must say, when I make something adorable, I want to do it over and over, too. It builds skill as well.
well look at that!!! I love the curvy stitching that says it all!
Waving to ya... hope all is going well!
What nice labor and that wonderful combination of colors … .te congratulate. I have liked very much (he forgives do not write anything in English well) kisses from Spain
Okay, just so you don't all think I am crazy! I looked at this book again and today it said the price was something like $15.71. Not bad at all. But I swear when I left my other comment, the link showed the decimal point in the wrong place and it was priced at $151.--something.
I was impressed that you had that book and thought, Hmmmmm.... maybe I should start a blog too. It seems to pay well!
I know what you mean.
While big quilts are so much fun,
I love making "extras" out of bits and pieces.Did you put sand inside
to sharpen the pins?
Susanne
Too cute! Don't feel bad I have a new dolly, um, I mean Kindle and it has four different covers that I have sewed. It "needs" different outfits! It also gave me the chance to practice my machine stitches and use up those "got to have" fat quarters that I have no idea why I bought! It is a fun and fast project so indulge yourself!
Well, curvy stitchings are looks very much beautiful and too much attractive on any clothes. It is such a fun work.
