This is version 3!
You can see version one here
and version two here.
I love having options! And I LOVE this bedding set! My husband doesn't mind florals. Hurray for that!
This was going to be my summer look, but this is such a nice contrast from these short dreary winter days.
Don't be fooled, my house only LOOKS peaceful...and only in selected areas. :)
Love this. The colors are soft & very soothing. May I ask what pattern you used? And what fabrics?
ReplyDeleteSo soft and lovely!! I can totally relate to your kind of peaceful... and tidy in my case. Hahaha. : )
ReplyDeleteNot the point of your post, but I love the leaves above your bed :-)
ReplyDeleteso pretty!
ReplyDeleteI still need to make ONE quilt for my bed! :)
I'm totally jealous. It looks so peaceful and grown up! Our bed is covered in stray baby socks, unopened mail and yesterdays pants.
ReplyDeleteAn inspiration. (You, not me... nobody needs yesterdays pants on their bed).
Wow~ I ADORE versions 1 and 2! I wish my fiance would let me have something other than solid cool colors. >:O
ReplyDeleteHow pretty! I love that fabric. You've inspired me to spiff up my bed room a little.
ReplyDeleteAmanda Jean, I love this look! It is so refreshing. These are my kind of colors :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful. As always.
ReplyDeleteAm really loving version 3!! How pretty.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. My husband would shoot me for 2 reasons if I had yours on our bed. Pink and flowers! Deer and woods are ok to him. I really like version one. It is going to make me want to make and orange quilt and it would go our bed very well. :D
ReplyDeleteamazing. it looks awesome. i can still remember your orange quilt, that's when I first fell in love with the square in a square block.
ReplyDeleteI have to say, I am not a big fan of orange, but the contrast against the dark furniture is beautiful (and maybe I have become a new fan of the color). The other set of green & teal is also stunning! Your blog is so inspiring.....thank you!
ReplyDeleteI love version 3... tho versions 1 & 2 are great as well. Version 3 kinda makes me want to go snuggle up in it... *lol*
ReplyDeleteGreat job!
My bedroom quilt is made with the same fabric line. I LOVE it....
ReplyDeleteI love those pillows on version 3. Just beautiful
ReplyDeleteSome times the only tranquility we get, we have to make!!! ;0)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great when hasbands don't mind florals. Mine tells me, "Well, I married a girl didn't I!".
Love that man!
Your new set is dreamy.
Very Pretty!! I would lock myself in there if I were you!!
ReplyDeleteI love all three!!!
ReplyDeleteThey are all so pretty, how do you ever decide which one to use?
ReplyDeleteYou are so amazing, all that in such a short time! I am loving version 3 its just so pretty, i have so many fabrics in this style, i may have to copy yours!
ReplyDeleteOh I love it!!! Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWow, I checked out all three versions. Apparently your bedroom is far more versatile than ours!
ReplyDeleteYour room is beautiful -- no matter which way you go!

ReplyDeleteWow...My new goal is to create options for my bedroom. I tend to give most of my quilts away. I would really like to keep a few for a change. They are all so beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteMagnÃfico
ReplyDeletebss
Pretty quilt and bedding! I sure understand the "selected area" thing. :)
ReplyDeleteVariety is the spice of life! (Did I ever tell you that I have the same lamps in my bedroom?)
ReplyDeleteI have to admit because I am an orange freak #1 is my favorite but they all look great! I would be so happy if I could change my bedding 3 or 4 maybe 5 times a year.
ReplyDeleteI love that you put it up in winter. My bed quilt is dark and when spring comes around I'm so sick of it! I've got the springy/summery version on my table right now, I just need to get the guts to quilt a queen.
ReplyDeleteThis is sa-weet! I love how you have matching pillows for each quilt.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Restful and comfy looking!
ReplyDeleteAll three versions are gorgeous, and so very different! You can really change the room to reflect your mood!! I especially like version 3 for right now - it just feels like early spring days!!
ReplyDeleteI like it. Makes me want to make another quilt for my bed so I can switch things around for variety.
ReplyDeleteOMGosh I just love all three equally! And I'm sooo jealous. I have yet to make myself a quilt and it's on my to-do list for 2011. Kudos to you for having such wonderful options for your bed.
ReplyDeleteYou are so high maintenance :)! I love them all!
ReplyDeleteI love each option!! Now if only my bed was ever made, except for Saturday :^)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! You're lucky, I don't think J would go for anything like that. LOL
ReplyDeleteI love that you switch it up now and again. It is so fun!
ReplyDeleteVery nice. Love the other two as well. I am very jealous that you have so many to put on your bed. I have yet to make one for the king sized bed. I can't seem to stay with a project that long!
ReplyDeleteGreat bedroom quilt and pillow shams! I have to admit, I have never made myself a quilt, always for others. Well right now Im working on the PS I Quilt, Postage stamp quilt along, I will make it a King size. I relaly have to make a New Years resolution to put myself 1st (or at least the top 10)!
ReplyDeleteI like all three versions a lot, although I have to give a slight edge to the orange. Okay, a really BIG edge to orange because I'm in love with orange. I'm getting ready to repaint our bedroom. Your wall color is fabulous. Do you remember what it is?
ReplyDeleteSo fun. I just went and switched out the throw on my bed - it's a start!
ReplyDeleteI love it! How did you end up quilting the big shams? I really like your pillows in a not so Christmassy colorway too! Hope your week is going well!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Oh, and love the first and second ones too! I have really got to get on making myself a quilt!!!! I am so jealous!
ReplyDeleteLove the way the 3 sets look so different! really lovely. My husband is good with the florals too. A good thing!
ReplyDeleteI have loved all three versions! You have a wonderful eye for color!
ReplyDeleteAlmost every day when I make our bed, I tell myself I need to make a quilt. You've outdone yourself. THREE times over!!!
ReplyDeleteI love everyone of them! The second option is my fav as I am not a pastel person...but they are fantastic...wish I was as ambitious as you! Three choices! Wow!
ReplyDeleteThe green and brown is my favorite one of all! I will HAVE to make one like that eventually.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!! I am suffering from some serious cute bedroom envy now!!
ReplyDeleteDEFINITELY my favorite! Very pretty...very pretty indeed!!!
ReplyDeletethis is why I have so many king size quilts! what If I made one and i loved it, and it didn't fit my bed... boy, that would be a bummer...
ReplyDeleteSay hi to the little lady, and tell the boys, B gets a snow day (no school!)tomorrow.. (and it only just started snowing an hour ago!)
Your bed looks very cozy with this quilt on...
what a beautiful bed! I love all the soft colors and sweet layers of pillows. You are lucky your husband doesn't mind florals! (mine does)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite (by far!) I love the color palette and florals. So soothing and cozy and vintage feeling. Well done!
ReplyDeleteNot only do you have 3 options, you made them all? well now I can't like you anymore LOL. So pretty and the wall color allows all these changes. Lovely. Are you looking to adopt a middle age woman with 4 sewing machines?
ReplyDeletelove version 2!
ReplyDeleteWhat a difference a quilt make! Like a complete make over. No need to paint walls or buy new firniture. Suddenly I have a reason to make many bedthrows!!! Lovely. Love your current choice. Pretty.
ReplyDeleteIt is very fresh and peaceful, but my favourite still remains number two!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous. I love the colours of the quilt, and how they stand out against the dark bed. Makes me want my quilt finished NOW so that I can put it on our bed.
ReplyDeleteLove all 3 versions:) How fun to be able to change up your bedding with some quilty goodness.
ReplyDeleteThis does look like a summer quilt. My very favorite is #2. I LOVE that one! Now get going on #4! I wanna see!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, my goodness, you know I can't even finish ONE bedding set for myself. You're my inspiration (80's song plays in the background, lights dim).
ReplyDeleteI love all three sets and wouldn't be able to pick a favorite. I'm wondering...do you have a Christmas bed quilt? I usually wait til November to get that idea and then it's too late. Maybe this will be the year.
ReplyDeleteSo very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThat looks great, and VERY cheery!
ReplyDeleteI love all three looks. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! All three of them are great!!!
ReplyDeleteawesome..! love all 3 looks!
ReplyDeleteLove that peaceful bed! Were you working on those pillows at the retreat? Winter snows outside fit just fine with peaceful, soft and warm inside!
ReplyDeleteI Love your bed frame!
ReplyDeleteloooove the whole look! perfect! my hubby does not like florals and we can't settle on a bed quilt so think I will be making our quilt! yours looks so inviting
ReplyDeletecorrie;)
Oh my gosh, so pretty! Did you make these?
ReplyDeleteI love your spring winter quilt! ...do you happen to have a tutorial up for these adorable throw pillows?
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely and the aqua of the pillow sets it off so well. I think my favourite would be version #2 so far - I love blues and greens and geometrics
ReplyDeleteStunning! Definitely love this version. Is so romantic and chic. Love this colors and these fabrics. Hugs, Clara.
ReplyDeleteIt looks so pretty!
ReplyDeleteYou have inspired me to finally do pillow shams for my son's bed. I did the quilt in the summer but need to get these shams done.
ReplyDeleteI love this quilt and your pillows are so perfect.
ReplyDeleteI love all three bed sets ! The shams and pillow covers - love them. Do you have a tutorial for these ? I would really enjoy having some of my own :) Your work is fabulous. Thanks for helping all of us become a little more inspired.
ReplyDeleteThey all look fabulous - I think would have to keep changing them round too as I don't think I could choose a favourite
ReplyDeleteThis quilt is so fun love the colors.
ReplyDeleteSo this has most definitely inspired me. I LOVE all three (my favorite color on earth is orange, but this most recent version just looks so soothing, too...I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite...) I love them all. What I fear, though, is the fact that I have a king, and the pattern I really, really want to make ends up as a 60x72 (king is what... 90x100 I think?). I can't decide if it'd look horrid with almost 3 feet of plain border hanging off. These three that you've made for your bed - do they have borders, and if so do you make them extra wide to hang, or no?
ReplyDeleteI'm very new to quilting, so I'm sorry if my questions are out of place. Like others have commented though, your work is beautiful and very inspiring!
I just love this set, my definite favourite. Could I ask which range of fabrics you have used and whether you could point me in the right direction for the pattern for the pillow? I haven't done any patchwork in about 10 years but this has made me want to start again!
ReplyDeleteThank you
I am new to your blog, brought here by your topsy turvy quilt on modabakeshop. I haven't quilted in years but am now keen to get back. I love version 3 of your bedroom set. Can I ask which fabrics you used and also is there a pattern somewhere for the gorgeous pillows? I would really love to make those. Many thanks

ReplyDeleteall the three versions are great but my favorite is the last one. The fabrics match my taste exactly. floral, romantic, soft colors. If it's not too much to ask, could you tell me what line of fabric you used in the quilt?
ReplyDeleteThank you very much.
I'm so glad you live up to your name!
ReplyDeleteAnd are as normal as the rest of us (maddies)
