Did you see that
DeeRoo is leading Round 9 (!!!) of the
Old Red Barn quilt along? She is doing variations on a theme...and the theme is Ticker Tape. I have a bunch of small scraps...and these would be perfect for a
Ticker Tape quilt. I'm going to give these scraps away to one reader.
There are lots of scraps!
All you have to do is leave a comment here and you will be entered into the drawing. My one stipulation is that you can't make fun of the size of fabric scraps I save. I can't help myself...I have a hard time throwing any fabric away. Obviously. :)
Happy Monday to you!

«Oldest ‹Older 401 – 556 of 556I keep the most ridiculously small scraps! It's so hard to part with any tiny piece of a beautiful print! :o) My sister mocks me, but she chucks GIANT scraps as "unusable" -- I must get her to save them for me!
Enter me to win! I love the little ticker tape quilts and I love the colors you use!
I think I love scraps more than anything! Don't worry I keep everything too!!
I love scraps. A friend of mine just sent me a wonderful pineapple quilt made from very small scraps. The most beautiful things can come from very small parts. Bonnie in Iowa
Would be great to win the beautiful scraps but its also lovely to have the chance to wish Amandajean and all crazymom readers a happy new year.
Oooh, Oooh, Oooh, a chance to have scraps from my favorite blogging quilter! Okay, that came off a little stalker-ish, but I would love to have your scraps. Maybe some of your creativity would rub off on me!
Thanks for the chance!
kelli
You have beautiful scraps- nothing to make fun of at all. I just started quilting and I wish I had so many beautiful scraps!
I would love to win these and make my first ticker tape quilt!
I love your ticker tape quilt! Would love to use your inspiring fabric choices -- is it not very difficult for you to give these away?! So generous!
You know I would never mock the size of your scraps (since they resemble mine). I know I don't need more, but I also cannot help myself.
I, like the other 400 people who have commented, would love to win your scraps! I would love to make this quilt. Thanks.
I would love to make fun of the scrap sizes, but then that would be the pot calling the kettle black. I would love to add these to my stash!
No making fun here, either. I would love to win these!
I would love these:) I've been wanting to make a ticker tape quilt for a while:)
I would love to win some scraps! I'm saving up to do a string quilt.
I totally save that size of scraps! :D
Oh, I love scraps. We moved recently and I had to fight for my scraps. My sons just look at them like JUNK!! Still missing some, so guess they are in a dumpster somewhere.
I'd love to add back to my scrap stash
Thanks.
Jackie
All scraps are good scraps! Especially for a ticker tape quilt. I have to say I'm very excited for this quilt along.
love your blog. you give me tons of inspiration! would love a little quilt made by you! thank you for the opportunity!
I would LOVE to win them. saw on your blog a lot of quilts you made:GORGEOUS. I get really inspired.
wow! Fun! Love other people's scraps!!
I have three large Rubbermaid
tubs full of fabric. I can't throw
anything away either!
Sweet stash. Would be great for my scrap quilt. Cool.
I'm very new to quilting, and these would be great to add to my extremely small scrap collection!
Yay! I love scraps!!
My 3yo daughter informed me, on Christmas Eve, that Santa needed me to help him by making her a baby doll blanket. Your Ticker Tape Quilt tutorial saved the day! It was so fun to make:)
I have a drawer full of small scraps ;), so I wouldn't make fun of your!!!
I so want to make a ticker tape quilt and this would give me incentive. Thanks for the opportunity!
I would love to make a ticker tape quilt, only I've just recently started quilting and don't have enough scraps yet. I love your blog and your tutorials!
I save scraps just as small - sounds like you're not alone!
I would love to win the scraps!
You should see the size of some of my scraps. No laughing here.....I hate to throw scraps out. Thanks for an opportunity to win some.
Scraps are fun no matter the size.
So many cute things to make with those scraps..... :)
Please put my name in. Thanks!!
Desi
I would love to win these!! I have several scrappy quilts in progress at the moment...these would be fabulous additions!
Nothing to small for me-I use all sizes!!
I would love these scraps! My friends all know to give me their scraps if they don't want them. I've been looking for some more so I can make a cute scrap quilt.
I love scraps! And I would love to win!
I certainly wouldn't laugh at you - I save the same size scrap myself! My daughter is a new quilter, and I just gave her the lecture about "You spent as much money on those scraps as you did on the rest of the fabric." ;)
How much fun! You have impeccable taste! It would be a blast to make a Ticker Tape quilt with your scrapes!
The only thing better than my own scraps is someone else's scraps!
Thanks for the giveaway!
Would love to make something cool out of that scrap stash!

Scrap me please!!! I feel like a ticker tape quilt is just inside my skill level. Those scraps look like they would make a lovely quilt.
Doubt I'm going to get far with this giveaway, seeing as how I'm the 445,??? commenter. But I have to say ... "Wow, your seriously giving this away. There is some good stuff in the making in that container"
I don't always get a chance to comment. But your quilts are wonderful as always. May you be as blessed this year.
Yes! I would love your scraps!
Hi, happy new year to you! I like your blog very much and enjoy reading it everytime. Just skip me for the give away, because that is not the reason i leave this comment. I'm living in florida, but I'm from the netherlands and quilting is so much bigger in the US. Please keep on going with this blog! Love Marijke
Count me in¡¡¡
Happy New Year and thanks a lot for your blog :D
If I made fun on you for saving wee scraps, i'd be the pot calling the kettle black!
I would love a chance to win, I just started quilting so my scrap bin is very small and i'm always looking for small pieces of different colors! Thanks for the giveaway!
jmistok@gmail.com
I have to keep my little scraps, too. I'd like to win this, and have a little different "mix" of fabrics to work with. :) I've looked at the same ol' stack for so long, it would be nice to have a little kick start of something different to look at. :) Thanks for the giveaway!
Those seem like perfectly reasonable sizes of scraps to save! I don't know what you're talking about!
I won't win this but it would sure be awesome to. I'm loving the reds, greens and turquoises- I could surely make something purdy with those. I'm not going to make fun of you for keeping scraps that size, I'm just angry at myself for all the ones I've thrown away and could have made something out of. I guess it's never too late to start.
I LOVE love love your ticker tape quilt - perhaps these fabulous scraps would inspire me to get over my intimidation and make one of my own! Thanks for the lovely giveaway!
love! i have too many scraps too... i have to keep my dog away from them or she'll eat them all!
ooo scraps! I dont have any because I am a new quilter so this would be perfect. I am excited about the ticker tape, I so want to do one ever since I found your blog!
Oh! I love buckets of scraps. I totally identify with saving itty bitty scraps. Thank you for the lovely giveaway.

Oh, I would LOVE these. I have a ticker tape quilt on my to-do list and this would save me from needing to buy fabric to cut up!! And it would give variety to what little I already have.
Please pick me!!

I share your love of scraps. I can not throw any fabric away even if it is a tiny little piece. Thanks for a great giveaway to start the new year.
there is no such thing as 'too small' where a scrap is concerned as long as it has a 1/4 inch seem allowance....if not, then there's always a 1/8 inch...and then again, who's measuring?? it a free country, ain't it?
Me, me, me!! I just gave away a scrappy quilt on my facebook page and need some more good scraps to make it with! These would be PERFECT!

I would love to win your scraps and would never make fun of your scraps. They can always be used for something, right?
I would love your scraps and could never make fun of the size of any of them because I have the same problem when it comes to throwing fabric scraps out!
I save pieces that are 1 inch because "I know I'll use them someday..." my hubby thinks I'm crazy!
I'd love your scraps!
I'm not sizest :)
I love scrap quilts. They tell so many stories!
What a beautiful basket of scraps....
The only thing better than scraps . . . someone else's scraps!
Great! This idea is the first, I would dare to try. And I'd love to uise your scraps for it, so at least the scraps have experience instead of me...
And I bet, in my scraps, peaces are much smaller
Have a nice day,
Brausefrau
Can't throw away a scrap either. But can always use some more LOL. Just finished two ticker tape doll quilts (one pink one purple) and would love to do another with your fabulous scraps. So happy you are blogging again. Missed you when you were not
Your scrap stash looks much better than mine.... I love tickertape quilts, though! I have made several :-)
I hope you will post to Australia?? Please??
My smallest save is about 1" by 1/4" - never know when I might NEED it LOL
Cheers
Lush
These little bits are sometimes called "crumbs" oh you said not to make fun!
What a wonderful bucket of scraps!
Count me in please!
Someone is going to be very happy to be the recipient of your quilting scraps!!
Judy
What a fun quilt these would make! Thanks for a chance! Teri Dingler
Yea scraps! Looking for a new project.
if you include international readers in your giveaway, i would love to make a ticker tape quilt with your scraps. your colour combinations are always lovely - being a bit of a beginner quilter (though not sewer) i am not feeling quite so confident about colour choices...
I'm not making fun of anyone!
I would love these scraps also. I have lots of scraps, why cant i throw them out, because they are so fun.
thanks for sharing some of your precious scraps. --No scrap too small--
I would love to win your scraps no matter what size they are. I have trouble tossing fabric away, also.

I would love to work with your scraps
I've admired your ticker tape quilt for a long time, but have been waiting to build up a better scrap bin before starting one of my own. I think I'm ready and would love to win your bitty scraps (not making fun at all....jealous!)! This will be my first quilt along....can't wait!
I so would not make fun of small scraps...I tend to this behavior myself (not that my stash is that big....yet!).
Thanks much for all the inspiration. Happy 2011.
Scraps (of ANY size) are NO laughing matter...oh geez...I hope I win!!!!

I have just recently found your blog and I love it! I have been avid decorator and DIYer for a while. I have been too scared to quilt - till finding your blog. Your tutorials are great , as I sit here and type this I am planing my first quilt.
I did not get as many projects done as I wanted but I did pick up a new hobby - quilting! And since Im a newbie, I don't have a ton of scraps so the give-aways would be perfect for me. Thanks for the chance!
My youngest daughter made a Ticker Tape quilt last year when she was 8. It came out wonderful and I've been itching to make one myself! Those scraps would give me lots of options!!!
I would love to win this! I never win any giveaways; let's hope this will be the one! =)
The Needle Beetle

I would love to win
I'd love to iron out those scraps and see a ticker tape quilt come to life. I've enjoyed spotting 'ticker tape' quilts on flickr...I ALWAYS think of you!
Hey, I use those salad containers to hold my scraps, too! Right now I am down to one, so I really need more.
I may be too late for this?? But I would very much like to be entered in this giveaway!! I have had it in my head to start working on a ticker tape quilt!
I too love scraps. I save mine in a shoe box, but it is a different palate of colors. This would be wonderful. I would like to try a postage stamp picture. Or finish an applique quilt. I particularly am drooling over your red pieces. Nope, not making fun!
I WOULD LOVE to win these!!! I save the tiniest of pieces..can't help it :)
I can't throw away anything bigger than 1" x 1" - smaller than that is doubtful too! Thank you for the giveaway!
Oh my word! What a lovely thing for you to be doing... I would love to be included in your drawing; I have the same problem throwing away scraps : ) One woman's scraps is another's treasure...
Hugs,
Jen

sorry from Louise tilburysindenmark.blogspot.com
I can't help myself, either. With the cost of cotton rising, and the inevitable increase in our beloved cotton quilting fabric, I feel like I'm throwing $ away if I don't use my scraps!
~Marian
I love scraps. Can't throw them away either. Would love to have some to mix in with mine...
I so want to make a ticker tape quilt! I'm a small scrap saver myself.
I would love to win. My scrap stash is pretty low after all of the bee activity in the last 12 months.
I keep lots of scraps too. No making fun here. Thanks for sharing.
Oh, this would be SO cool to win, as I'm just getting into quilting! Thanks for the opportunity :o)
Scraps are terrif! BTW - the word verification for this comment is "OFART" LOL
This pile is intriguing. And I don't think anyone should laugh at the size - don't we all keep that last square inch of our favorites? Thank you for the give away!

These look so fun! I thought I was wrong to save the tiny ones, but when supply is limited, be resourceful ...
Thank you for sharing the joy!
Glynis
I saw your ticker tape quilt several months ago and bookmarked it for a future project. We just found out we are having a baby girl in May so it would be great to start now with a beautiful collection of scraps! :)
Oh I could use some scraps!
Thanks so much for the giveaway! It is hard to decide how small a scrap to save. :)

Another Amanda-Jean Giveaway. I have dug fabric scraps out the trash that others have deemed too small. Nonsense I say. There is still a lot of sew in that scrape. I hope I win. Joan-Ordinary Life.
Don't know why I'd enter to try to win more scraps! I have a hard time tossing scraps too.
I just joined my first virtual quilting bee and have chosen a ticker tape quilt for my month. I'd love to win your scraps!
emily
Don't have a lot of scraps, but only cause I'm a fairly new quilter - I hold on to even the smallest ones! I understand, I would love to win your scraps - then I'll have enough to join the quilt along!
I've just started quilting.. or maybe I shouldn't call it quilting yet haha. Have a hard time deciding on fabric, I'm an all boys mum and not much of a printed fabric gal myself so I'd love to get some scraps!
I haven't made a Ticker Tape quilt yet but I do collect scraps. I use all sizes in my string blocks so no laughing here.
Confetti!!
I may covet your scraps, but I would never make fun of them lol
caitlindevlin(at)hotmail(dot)com
I would love to give your scraps a new loving home.
Don't want to enter!!! I left a half full shoebox of scraps out one night and the next morning the farbric fairy had left me three boxes full! That must be what happens. I mean I KNOW that I am not keeping that many scraps! Am I? Your scraps are awfully pretty...hummm maybe I should enter!LOL!
I am a scrap fiend, so no laughing here. Happy new year!

How fun! You're right, these are perfect for a ticker tape quilt. I thank you for the chance to win.
Seriously! Those scraps don't seem small to me. My mom and I save the samallest scraps. We paid good money for those scraps and we will not waste them. She is 81 and I'd love to 'gift' her with your scraps. What fun she would have! It reminds me of the saying her mother used to say. She can make silk from s sow's ear.
I've never made a ticker tape quilt, but would love to try!
I am crazy for scraps! It's that kind of thing that you can never have too much of (Like chocolate or money!)!!!What a fun giveaway! I can't wait to get started!
I would love to win. Thanks for the giveaway. I don't see scraps. I see beautiful colors.
