ReplyDeleteWe celebrate Christmas when we do as the early church replaced a pagan winter feast to celebrate the conquering of winter (i.e. winter solstice)with a church feast to celebrate life in the birth of Jesus. Of course, here in Oz our days are now getting shorter as we have just had our summer solstice.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a very happy Christmas!
Happy Solstice to you! And Merry Christmas too!
ReplyDeleteI have three charm square packs from Robert Kaufman sitting on my desk in front of me now. I have the Bright, Dark and Pastel palletes. The Dark pallete would work great in a Civil War era type quilt. All three are so pretty to look at and I can't split them up for that reason.
ReplyDeleteHappy Solstice to everyone. Thank you for the giveaway.
To longer days for sure!!!!!! This lack of light is depressing. Love the fabrics!
