giveaway

It feels like a giveaway day to me! I have one bright colorstory jelly roll to give away, compliments of Robert Kaufman. If you would like to win, let me know where you are from and what you are up to today. Here's an example for you: I'm Amanda Jean from Wisconsin. Today I'm going to start quilting my blue quilt. I have a sick boy at home (he has a cold, poor thing) and I'm listening to pandora, hoping my two little ones don't argue too much. Sounds lovely doesn't it? ;) Actually, the sun is shining, which helps immensely.

Please, one comment per person. Include your email address in case I need to contact you! I'll pick a winner sometime on Friday.

My name is Kenna from Sammamish, WA. I am busy today planning our church's Halloween Party. Even though it's a month away, it's consuming my thoughts and dreams. Yuk. The sun in shining in Seattle today, so the kids and I are headed outside. I am so grateful to your blog - it helped me finish a quilt for a friend, and I couldn't have done it without one of your tutorials. She was so grateful.

I'm Debra from SW Minnesota. I'm getting over some horrible stomach virus. Yuck. Luckily my 2 children, ages 5 and 4 are playing nicely while I try to distract myself from the pain by reading blogs! Not really the post you want to read. I wish I was finishing up a quilt I'm working on. Just doing the topstiching then the binding. Plus I have a block of the month to do soon for the local group. Great giveaway.

Well, there are SO many entries, but I'll throw my name in, too.

I'm Deanna in Utah and today I hope to get two more 6" stars sewn for the border of a quilt I am working on. Not much of a goal, but the truth.

Crisanne said...

I'm Crisanne from Utah. I've spent the morning with my littlest ones, watching them play in the dirt and observing a big backhoe that is ripping up the road in front of our home. I've also managed to take my older 2 to piano lessons and made it to the school for parent-teacher-student conferences. Unfortunately, I have yet to do the breakfast dishes, let alone any sewing!

I'm Clisty from Grace, Idaho. Today I am digging through my scraps to find enough for a table runner. I have 3 girls 5 1/2, 2 3/4, 8mo at home, school is out for Potato Harvest, and my oldest is super bored! It is cloudy rainy and windy today so no sending them outside. I think I should turn on some Pandora to help me relax and block out the occasional laughing, fighting, playing.

Hi, i'm Jess, and i live in Sydney, Australia.
Today i am doing some laundry and playing with my children. I'm hoping that naptime will go off without a hitch and that will give me some time in my crafting room, but it rarely does so i may have to settle for some bad TV and some good food instead.
Today is quite overcast so i guess spending the day outside all day may just be a bit out of the question, but that is where i am currently headed (after we finish breakfast) in hopes to exert some of the energy young one's seem to never run out of!

I did squeeze in a nice treat for myself. A manicure! This would be my second one ever. I'm currently sporting a lovely orange-ish shade called Bird of Paradise.

Hello, my name is Sue Webber, I'm from Hamilton in New Zealand and I'm a quilterholic. It's been 4 weeks since my last quilt and I'm finding it hard to walk past fabric without falling off the wagon. It's also very hard not to droolin fabric sops. At the moment I'm crocheting a hexagon blanket.

Hi my name is Pia and I come from Denmark.

Today it is nice weather here i Denmark - the sun is shining and the sky is clear the temperature is okay.

Unfortunately I am unemployed at present so I am at home planning to work on my Anna Maria Horner disappearing nine patch quilt. Afterwards I take my dog - an Irish softcoated wheaten terrier called Tessa - for a walk.

I could really use that giveaway for any projects. Cross my fingers.

Have a nice day!

Hi! I'm Jenny in NY. I'm cleaning house all day today to get ready for a great friend's visit this weekend. Bummer to be cleaning, but great motivation to get it out of the way before the fun begins. I'm hoping to have time to sift through my fabric scraps to find enough to use to throw together a quilt for a school fundraiser coming up, crossing my fingers that I won't have to buy any supplies for it. Have a great day!

This is Melissa from California. I always read your blog while I am at work, but wishing I was home quilting. Later, I plan on starting a label for the quilt I am working on. My mother made the top, she passed away in January and I am finishing all of her wip's. While I am working on her quilts I wonder what she thought about while she worked on them. I miss her so much.

HI, I'm Stacey. Today I am having my 4th day in my new job. I will probably do a ton of checking and correcting the work of the girl who had this position for the 3 months before me before being fired for lack of attention to details. I get to "re-do" all the work she did in our schools data base so that everything is again working correctly. Is it crazy that I am actually enjoying the fact checking and finding portion of my job....YES. I hope to spend some time tonight on the quilt I have in my machine right now, I need to get it finished so that I can work on the binding when we go on vacation next month....6 hours in the car needs a good project.

I'm Zlatka aka Blogless me and I live in Belgium. I'm catching up with my Google Reader (400+ unread posts) after a brief but very rewarding trip with quilting friends to Ste-Marie-aux-Mines in France where the yearly european exhibition of quilts takes place. That's where I also picked a nasty virus that caused me to loose my voice and endure unpleasant headaches and running nose. Thankfully, my suffering seams to be coming to an end.

Btw, I love your block and follow it in Google Reader.

I suspect that my chances on winning these adorable sweets are low - but I felt like leaving a comment anyway.

I am Tina from Germany and wanted to let you know that your blog has a growing fan community over here. :) As quilting has in general. I´ve started it as a pasttime in between kids, household and exams and got hooked. Usually with more attempt than talent, but I still enjoy what I do. ;-)

Just now I´ve sent my two younger kids off to an elementary school event :-), checked the 7th-graders homework, am waiting for the next round of laundry to be finished - and then I´ll be off to have fun with my spider-web-whatever-it-may-be-project!

Greetings from sunny northern Germany. Keep on quilting and sharing with us!

Love, Tina

I am excited about your giveaway! Thanks much for being so generous. I have been wanting to start a completely solid quilt for some time now but I've just been too involved in my other WIP's to even go buy some fabric for it. Maybe someday!

It's rather chilly outside today, but no worries, I won't have time to play outdoors.

I have work and class all day! Today, I have Environmental Law, Finance, and Film Culture. I enjoy every minute of it.

When I get back to my dorm, I hand sew, knit, and crochet. Currently, I'm working on sewn placemats and napkins, and crocheted coasters as a set to use at my house.

Like every other college student (and everyone, I think), I love free stuff, and ESPECIALLY free crafting stuff! So thank you for offering this freebie :)

Sincerely,
Elayna
