It feels like a giveaway day to me! I have one bright colorstory jelly roll to give away, compliments of Robert Kaufman. If you would like to win, let me know where you are from and what you are up to today. Here's an example for you: I'm Amanda Jean from Wisconsin. Today I'm going to start quilting my blue quilt. I have a sick boy at home (he has a cold, poor thing) and I'm listening to pandora, hoping my two little ones don't argue too much. Sounds lovely doesn't it? ;) Actually, the sun is shining, which helps immensely.
Please, one comment per person. Include your email address in case I need to contact you! I'll pick a winner sometime on Friday.

Quilting wise, I at least looked at my sampler quilt today, trying to decide which way is up on my "Tumbling Blocks" square.
yahoo for a giveaway day!!
I've only made a few quilts - still learning. Today I spent hours at the fabric store going crazy with all the nifty fabrics to choose from. Now I'm looking through my blogs and my books to decide what to do with my stash. It's not a big one, but some day I should be able to scrap quilt with the best of them!
Hi, my name is Sherry from Fort Myers, Florida. Today I am working on a quilt for one of my 9 Granddaughters. I decided this year to make each of them a quilt and give it to them for Christmas. I've almost reached my goal. This quilt is number 7. Only 2 more to go to accomplish my goal. Next year I will start working on quilts for my 9 Grandsons. Have a wonderful day.

Hi, and thanks for such a gorgeous giveaway! I'm Jolene, from Rotorua, New Zealand. I am about to take my 4 year old daughter to ballet (her twin brother recently opted out - *not enough funky music, mama!* so he's just along as a spectator) and I am dealing with a combination inspiration overload/quilter's block...I'm itching to do so many things that I can't make a decision and end up not starting anything! Ack!
I'm Amanda from Virginia and now that I'm home from work, I'm cuddling on the couch with my sleeping 3 month old while I read blogs and ignore laundry/dishes/dusting. Those bright colors sure would make a bright beautiful quilt to cuddle my little girl in!

Hi, my name is Karen. Today I worked, so all I could do is dream about what I'm going to do tomorrow on my day off. As I was scraping crap off people's teeth (I'm a dental hygienist) I was thinking about my Night & Day quilt (Eleanor Burns). Soooooo much fun..looks difficult but it's very easy.

Hi, I am ozjane, from near Melbourne, the capitol city of Victoria, the southern East state in Australia.
I had great plans till I had a nasty fall in the bedroom coming crashing down on replaced knees and one elbow. Pride badly dented and body darn sore. Was planning to continue paper warfare from yesterday, then trace embroidery for My Garden BOM, then sew a bag using a Moda scrap bag or two called Gobble Gobble. I got two of the same pattern but it has been good as I managed to sew the two halves of the bag in different directions, so now there are two bags in the offing. I am then going to sew black sashing on a stack and slash with a musical theme...about 2 years as a UFO
I'm Jen and today I went to the second-ever Wichita Modern Quilt Guild. Now, I'm home getting ready to start on the first-ever swap project for the group.

Hi, I'm Michelle and i live in Pa but am originally from Texas. I've been reorganizing my sewing. My 2 oldest are out of the house, my 17 yr old is pretty well settled with her own thing, and my 13 yr old daughter loves to quilt and sew and play with fabric just like i do but is visiting grandparents. Although, that didnt stop her from making a quilt for my niece's birthday. I've enjoyed looking through your blog. Not having a computer of my own, mine has pretty much died, but i still have high hopes.

Hi! I'm Angel from PA (amish country to be exact!). Today I am nesting by finishing my incredibly long list of "baby" WIP...a couple diaper covers, a nursing cover and blanket that attaches to the carseat handle. My due date is Friday and I'm hoping this burst of energy means labor is close! My two older girls are getting impatient to meet their new brother or sister! Some people nest and end up with a clean house...I nest and end up with little cut threads all over my clothes instead....

I'm April from West Michigan. Today I picked up my favorite labrador for another dog stinting stunt. Then I washed 6 loads of laundry and stuffed them into baskets in hopes that a magic fairy comes in the night and folds them. When I was small my mother told me about a "brownie" that could come and do these things while she wasn't looking. Which was fascinating to me until I learned that she was insinuating me as the brownie. Nice try, Mom.

Today was a typical day taking care of my three kiddos...I did daydream about spending some time at my sewing machine but instead I picked up, cleaned my son's guinea pig cage, picked up, changed diapers, picked up, did some laundry, picked up, nursed the baby, picked up...I could go on but you see the theme here. Now, everyone is sleeping, so I'm ready to head off to my other job as a nurse. Anyhoo, love your blog...the quilter in me lives vicariously through you since having my 3rd baby and struggling to find the time to quilt. Would love to win such beautiful fabric...a luxury this mama hasn't treated herself to in a long time :)

Hello, I'm Lee Ann L. from San Antonio. I actually consider the Houston area my home. We moved here from there two years ago.
I'm currently back in the Houston area visiting my Mother. I'm dog-tired and hardly did a thing today. It's 9:34pm right now and I'm about to call it a day.
Here is what I did today:
Got up, ate breakfast and caught up on the internet world. It was raining.
Went out for lunch at Double Dave's where they have a twofer on Pepperoni Rolls. Yummo!
I then went to see my Mother and visited with her awhile. When they came to take her out walking for a bit, I went to the nearby local mall to do some walking of my own. The sun came out while I was inside the mall.
I went back to see and visit with Mother some more. And, I worked on putting down dates in my new calendar (Amy Knapp's version).
When I was ready to leave, I discovered I locked the keys in the van. Grrrr...
So, my youngest nephew came with his car, took me back to his house and then gave me his keys to his car. I put some gas in the tank and then went back to Mother's house, grabbed the extra van keys, went back to my nephew's house, and was taken back to the Rehab. Whew! Finally. I got the van back. :-)
I made it back to Mother's house and have been here every since catching up with the world.

I am Laurel and I am from Utah. If ever there was a day that I needed a splash of rainbow, it's today! My Hubby is gone so I am flying solo until Friday. I have 5 kiddos at home with one sicky who is making the rest of us miserable! :) I have been cleaning, cooking, doctoring, running a taxi service and I am ready for my idea of a day spa aka quilting!
I am Katie and I live in Louisville, KY. Today was a yucky day and tomorrow is bound to be better! :) We're going on a field trip. Thanks for sharing the rainbow!
Hi, I'm Sonya from Southwestern Ontario, Canada. I'm at home, watching tv and catching up on all the blogs I read. I'm heading to bed soon to get rid of this headache (booo!), but I'll dream of the wonderfully colourful quilt I'd make with that great jelly roll!

Hi I am Trudy from Oklahoma city. I am unwinding from a considerably heart heavy day as a childrens oncology nurse. Quilting blogs are just the thing to do that with. Tomorrow is my birthday and I plan to finish a quilt I am making my mom for Christmas. She always makes the right kind of noises , ooos and ahs and usually crys when I make her something so it is always more fun to anticipate her reaction!!!
Hello - I'm Dawn from New Mexico. Today I spent the day cleaning - my parents are coming to town, and I had to touch up paint, dust the light fixtures, and mop the kitchen floor - you know, all the things that have been bugging me that I hadn't got to yet. I moved my two quilt projects back and forth, giving them a ride on the ironing board today. Poor things - no sewing today.
WOW! Over 900 responses. I am Eliz and just learning to quilt.I'm from Greenville, SC - a wonderful place to live - close to the mountains and not far from the sea.Wishing myself some luck.....

Not able to sew a whole lot during the week at night w/teaching Kdg. & elem. music. My brain is thinking Christmas program, but would love to be cutting out a Christmas quilt w/my Figgy Pudding fabric. Thank you for being such an inspiration to all of us!

Hi, my name is Kayse and I'm sitting in a very quiet house in Texas. My 7 children are sleeping and my husband is out of town. Today was a much better day than yesterday! Yesterday, my kitchen sink stopped up and I had to be a plumber...yuck! Then I took the baby to the doctor, right after the 3 year old vomited. Why do all these things happen when Daddy is gone?
I would much rather have spent some time quilting!

Hi! I am Annette from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
I am enjoying the colder temperatures that have been happening over here. I'm actually surfing the net right in front of my fireplace. I am thinking of all the stuff I should be doing (like finishing my oldest son's quilt), but I think that instead, I will just go to bed, as I am quite sure I will be up a few times this night to tend to son # 2 and my baby girl who loves to eat at night. But I love 'em, so I don't care :)

Hi! I am Cheryl. I was a "good little wifey" today, as I told my husband, that is until he came home and found me asleep and a bag of popcorn all over the floor courtesy of my 2 and 4 year olds:) Up until that point, I hung a huge load of laundry on the line, made my favourite bran muffins, brought my daughter to preschool for only her third day, took my toddler grocery shopping, raced back to pick up my daughter, came home and played in the back yard, then fell asleep (pregnancy is my excuse for that one). I stayed up late last night repairing an old quilt, and am looking forward to a stolen hour or two to finish it.
Thanks for the giveaway Amanda Jean!

My name is Margaret and I'm from just upstream of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. My daughter turned 19 today, and on her wishlist was a comforter. Today I luckily had the day off and finished it! Only my second quilt ever, and I owe it to Amanda Jean's pattern on Bee Square. Come on, 1000 comments!
