giveaway

It feels like a giveaway day to me! I have one bright colorstory jelly roll to give away, compliments of Robert Kaufman. If you would like to win, let me know where you are from and what you are up to today. Here's an example for you: I'm Amanda Jean from Wisconsin. Today I'm going to start quilting my blue quilt. I have a sick boy at home (he has a cold, poor thing) and I'm listening to pandora, hoping my two little ones don't argue too much. Sounds lovely doesn't it? ;) Actually, the sun is shining, which helps immensely.

Please, one comment per person. Include your email address in case I need to contact you! I'll pick a winner sometime on Friday.

I am Sarah from Indiana. I just finished doing pilates with my two little girls (one who is currently in timeout for hitting her sister and crying that no one hurts me like mommy-since when did timeout become such a traumatic event?). I do have a pile of old blue jeans, that I have been cutting up for a new bluejean quilt.

'allo! I'm Valerie from West Michigan. *grin* I'm leaving in about 30 minutes to go get fitted for orthotics. *ugh!* I broke my foot earlier this spring and the verdict from my specialist was old lady shoes and insoles. In addition to being booted for most of the summer... What a bummer! :o( I've got some sewing plans for this evening --- a couple blocks for the NewBee quilt bee I'm in, plus the beginnigs of a quilt for a friend who's on extended bed rest. She's due with baby #2 in mid-December --- and has already been on bedrest for 4 weeks. I want her to have something snuggly and warm while she waits on this little one to come. That, and I figure mom ought to be spoiled 'cause little man surely will! *grin*

I'm scrolling, scrolling scrolling down to get to the comment form....!!
I'm Mary from northwest Montana and I am hoping for a little break from the rain so I can finish (that is optimistic) staining the outside of my house. In the meantime I am piecing a back for a quilt that I started in June. I think the back is taking longer than the front, and I am wondering if it is worth the time I have spent. Would it be a better use of my time to just buy the extra wide fabric and be done with it?
Any how I love Robert Kaufman solids and I'm crossing my fingers!!!
Thanks for having a fun blog to read.

Perfect colors for today! I'm Collette from Chicago and it's about 85 here today. (I know!) My 3 year old is at daycare today (he just started 3 weeks ago and I'm not sure what I think about it. It's both great and not so great). I'm having a swinging time with him gone--went to the doctor for a yearly checkup (yeah, I know how to live) but today my husband stayed home to do paperwork so we got to have lunch out just the two of us. Kind of feels like playing hooky!

Hope your son feels better. Mine had a big fever over the weekend and we had to drive 9 hours home from the in-laws. :-( All is well now though so there's hope.

Andrea from small town Nevada. My plans for today include getting the laundry caught up so I can feel better about leaving town this weekend; canning the fresh fire-roasted chiles I bought on the roadside yesterday; cleaning up my living room so it doesn't look like we came home from camping yesterday, (when we actually returned last Wed.); and finally impressing my husband by at least starting on dinner before he comes home (that hasn't happened in a few weeks, he doesn't complain though). Writing it out feels a little overwelming, so we'll have to see what really gts done.

Hi Amanda,
My name is Linda and I live in the central valley of central California where summer refuses to give up. This morning I was working on my Paganini blocks and then moved on to sew along blocks - two to make there. Then stopped to read some blogs and had to jump over and join the Fat Quartes Mystey bom (after seeing pictures posted by another blogger). Now, for lunch and reading more blogs. Then back to the sewing room for a few hours before making a new chicken dinner. Oh, and after dinner, some crocheting for an afghan for Project Linus while catching up on some of the new fall line up on tv!
