giveaway

It feels like a giveaway day to me! I have one bright colorstory jelly roll to give away, compliments of Robert Kaufman. If you would like to win, let me know where you are from and what you are up to today. Here's an example for you: I'm Amanda Jean from Wisconsin. Today I'm going to start quilting my blue quilt. I have a sick boy at home (he has a cold, poor thing) and I'm listening to pandora, hoping my two little ones don't argue too much. Sounds lovely doesn't it? ;) Actually, the sun is shining, which helps immensely.

Please, one comment per person. Include your email address in case I need to contact you! I'll pick a winner sometime on Friday.

Hi, I'm Jill from the North of England. I've had a busy day today: I was at work this morning, picked my niece up from school at lunch time, went to the dentist (who happens to be my sister) this afternoon and cut up a lovely Rural Jardin jelly roll this evening for my next project.

A very productive day!

Hi!
My name is Maria and I'm a Swede who live in Malta (in the Mediterranean, not US *lol*). I was taking a break from piecing my very first rag quilt when I stumbled upon your blog. The quilt I'm making is a baby one in blue and pink flannels combined with a lovely fabric from Beatrice Potter since I don't know the sex of the baby that's getting it. But now I've been reading your blog back to 2008 and I just can't stop, we've got such similar tastes it's almost scary and I'm so inspired I don't know where to start! =) I just HAVE have to read it all to the beginning but I really should have gone to bed hours ago. I'd love to win what would be my very first jelly roll (they're not sold here) so I had to add my comment here, my email is maria@ponyisland.net.

Please continue your fantastic work, I know for sure I'll be checking your blog every day from now on! <3

Sincerely
Maria

Hi I'm Kelly from Rapid City, SD where is a sunny cool day with a hint of Fall in the air! 15 more minutes and I'm off work to hit the gym, go home & make dinner and then do some knitting! Love the jelly roll colors! Thanks for your generosity! I'm hoping you'll post the winner - I'd rather not post my email addy for the world to see :)

I'm at work, where I'm paying for the various shows that air on the 2networks I work for, however we keep having little earthquakes today - nothing big but big enough to rattle the building and where we are on the 15th floor, that means the whole building shakes. It's unnerving. Hopefully tonight I'll be able to go home and do some sewing to relax!!!

Hi Amanda Jean -

I JUST LOVE YOUR WEBSITE! I found it by mistake this summer and it has been so inspirational - thank you.

My name is Gretchen and I live in the Washington DC metro area. It's been just gorgeous here lately, seventies, sunny and low humidity. Just got home to work, waiting for dinner to finish baking and hopefully will head out to a PTA meeting soon. Enjoying your web site with a cup of coffee as a wonderful break. My youngest son stayed home sick (he's 15 so he enjoyed a day to himself) with a cold and sore throat. Just finished a quilt for my beautiful niece and hopefully will restart the summer quilt a long project. I'm about 3/4's through. (It's been very challenging. Thanks so much!!!

I'm Rachel from Virginia. I just got home from work, and after the Little One goes to bed, I am going to finish machine quilting a baby quilt that I made for a friend. They own a seafood restaurant, and the I managed to track down some cute crab fabrics. Once I finish that, I might work on packing some of my tools and fabrics for my girls weekend this weekend (uninterrupted sewing time!), or I may flop on the couch. Hmmm, I wonder which is more likely to happen.

This rollup is bright and cheery!

Then, it will be homework time and off to bed. I did manage to sew together the blocks for a quilt top that will be going to San Bruno for the gas pipe explosion victims inbetween picking up my 1st grader and 8th grader.
