This past weekend I turned 35. You know how some people say that they don't feel their age? I'm not one of those people. ;) I celebrated with my sis, who also shares my birthday. No cake was involved (it's way too hot to bake) but there was LOTS of ice cream. I may or may not have had ice cream 3 times on Sunday, including my husband's favorite recipe. YUM! It was a good, good day.

I have fond memories of Baskin Robbins' Charlie Brown flavor, but Coldstone makes a killer dark chocolate ice cream that would probably put it to shame when mixed with PB. My favourite ice cream flavour is chocolate because when I was a little girl the normal flavour was vanilla, a bit more special was strawberry, but if you went somewhere 'posh' you could get 3 scoops, one each of vanilla, strawberry and CHOCOLATE!
Its gotta be mint choc chip- just yum!
Culver's makes a great REAL FRESH strawberries dipped in chocolate--in their vanilla custard. oh WOW!

Here in Finland we have been enjoying a couple of very HOT weeks. My favorite icecream is chocolate but vanilla is good as well.
In my freezer right now, I have Blueberry pomegranate with dark chocolate chunks. It's pretty yummy.

I love Dreyer's Slow Churned French Silk. It has vanilla and coffee ice cream with CHUNKS of dark chocolate. Heaven. I hate coffee usually, I only picked this one up by accident. So glad I did.

As much as I try to buck the Starbucks trend (pardon the pun?) I can't help but love their Java Chip ice cream. There's just something about the super silky texture that I LOVE!

When we lived in Florida, we use to get the Publix brand of this flavor, and I haven't been able to find an ice cream as good as this since!
Happy Birthday! My favorite flavor is homemade double chocolate! It takes FOREVER to make as you have to cook it, then cool it, and then throw it in the icecream maker. Another at the top of the list is chocolate rum, but that one melts a little too fast!

My favorite flavor is actually Vanilla. Specifically Bryers All Natural Vanilla.
Which sounds so boring, but I really do LOVE it!! Plus I like that you can put ANYTHING with it and it works perfectly...like stirring in some creamy peanut butter, or some granola cereal and caramel sauce...or smashing up a candy cane and stirring it in! With vanilla, you can't go wrong!!

We have a local creamery that has a flavor called, "Almost Sinful". It is a mixture of hot fudge with pecans, vanilla and chocolate a mixed together. It is made by West's Dairy in Hayward, WI.
I LOVE ice cream!!! My commerically produced favorite is Haagen Daz Chocolate Chocolate Chip. But I've had some amazing locally made ice cream in Traverse City, MI (Moomers) and in NYC. Both places had an amazing chocolate and a delightful banana ice cream. The combination of the two is even more incredible.
My favorite ice cream is Chocolate Chip Mint .. even though my Dear husband and Darling kids, tell me in unison that Baskin and Robbins do have 31 flavors to chose from.

Favorite flavor... As boring as it sounds, I tend to always come back to vanilla, but it has to be Blue Bell brand. I like it plain. I also like it with stuff mixed in. There are a lot of ways to mix it up and make it different.
