My sister brought back this fabulous fabric for me. Isn't it fun? It will go great in some of my future quilts.
Also, it is SNOWING today. It's gorgeous. Early for snow, but gorgeous. I love the light that reflects into the house because of the snow. My kids were VERY excited to see the snow again. I'm sure they will get their fill. As will I. :)
I'm going to be meeting up with Diane today. She volunteered to quilt some of the quilts of valor quilts for me. I'm so grateful for the generosity of her and all of you who are helping me in this project. Thank you once again to each and every one of you who have contributed. It's amazing what we can do together!
Snow?! That makes me want to curl up under a quilt and hand stitch a binding which is what I did today even though only Fall here.
ReplyDeleteI'm sad you have snow! Just means that we'll get an early snow too and I'm not ready for it! But it was 32'F this morning. BRRRRRRR - Winter is here; nevermind Fall!
ReplyDeleteThe first snow is the most fun!
ReplyDeleteThe fabric your sister brought you is lovely. :)
what a cute babies!!! lucky you, your new fabrcis are amazing!
ReplyDeleteYou have snow... I am so jealous. Here in Texas we are just glad to have it 60 degrees today, we would never dream of having snow in October. Enjoy it for all of us!
ReplyDeleteSnow?!? I've been seeing early snow across the web. I'm hoping this won't be a LONG winter.
ReplyDeleteWow...snow already!?!?! We have a chance of snow on Friday...we love the snow here too. :)
ReplyDeletesnow already?! wow! does your son still love to shovel snow? i think that was one of my favorite (non-quilting) blog posts you wrote. :)
ReplyDeletehe is a cutie! and there's my little lady! :-) hi to all.
ReplyDeletesnow! eeeeghads.
no thank you.... I'm sure it's fun but not by adding another month to a minnesota/wisconsin winter!
It is just starting to snow here now in NE Minnesota (12:51 PM). My hubby talked with a lady in St. Paul early this morning and they already had 3". What's with this fall?
ReplyDeleteThe fabric your sister brought you is so representative of the bright colors the Swedish people traditionally decorate with inside their homes. I love it. In the midst of winter, I often think I should redo our house decor that way!
Just got home from a quilting get-together. Got almost the whole binding sewn on a baby quilt and have lots of warm fuzzies because of the companionship of other quilters.
We had a beautiful Autumn day here in the West Country today with the sun shining on the lovely colours.
ReplyDeleteBut I am still a little envious of your snow, knowing that we probably won't get any and if we do it won't be until February/March time
Build a snowman for me !
What cutie pies!
ReplyDeleteAnd snow? I am so jealous! I agree, it makes me want to sit under a soft, cuddly quilt, make some hot cocoa and read a good book or stitch some binding:-)
SNOW! *is super jealous*
ReplyDeleteI love how in the picture of the kiddos there's a strategically placed quilt back there. Niiiice. ;]
SNOW??? No thanks. I know that it could start falling here anytime, but I'm not really looking forward to it. This is the first year that we are homeowners and I. DO. NOT. SHOVEL.
ReplyDeleteSnow? Oh no! I SO want a nice Indian Summer but it looks like we'll be going into winter soon here also. Have to hunker down with the quilting and knitting along with a hot cocoa.
ReplyDeleteLittle Adam is a cutie!
Happy Quilting...
Karen
What a sweet house guest! I am expecting snow towards the end of the week I think.
ReplyDeleteHe's so cute!! Cousins are such fun! We love it when my nephew comes and visits... and it's always sad when he leaves again too.
ReplyDeleteSnow here too-it snowed off and on all day. I bet your day seemed quiet without the little boy! I got one row done on my quilt last night...I think I am going to like it.
ReplyDeleteOh he is a little cutie! Love the fabric too.
ReplyDeleteIt's also snowy here. I can't say, however, that I share your sentiments about it. I think it's waaaayyyy too early for snow - especially considering we'll have it until late April or early May!
i'm a little envious of the gorgeous snow, but i'm still enjoying the turning of the leaves here in michigan. snow is on its way soon though, yay!
ReplyDeleteCute pic of the kids, and I love the fabric you received.
ReplyDeleteAmanda, Thanks for lunch today! It was so nice to meet you and your daughter. I really enjoyed the day out.
ReplyDeleteI am caught up on the internet stuff so it's time to sew!
The photo of those two along with Adam's occasional hug requests is melting my heart. Maybe it will melt the snow, too?
ReplyDeleteOh gosh snow already?! I'm new to the States so snow still does my head in haha! Your nephew is adorable! And those fabrics are so awesome.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE those fabrics. How fun!
ReplyDeleteI bet you were thrilled to have such a sweet cousin/nephew spend some time with you. I'm sure you made a lot of memories with more to come, of course. I sure don't envy that snow outside. Don't know what I would do if I lived in that cold country of yours! Guess I'd FREEZE.
ReplyDeleteThe kids and that fabric is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI too had several occasions where I had to babysit the little people while their parents when abroad. once their gone, it feels so quite and yet i can hear their voices in my ears.
ReplyDeleteReally pretty fabric U got. Also Adam and your daughter look so cute. Just wanted to say hi. Wish we had snow here
ReplyDeleteSnow.... Yikes!!! I'm already cold! I don't want to think about snow today! It's so great when cousins get to spend time together! He's a cutie pie, and I would melt if I heard "I need a hug" from that little one too!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE "snowlight" - that brightness that snow brings into the house.
ReplyDeleteI'm a little jealous about the snow.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute picture of Adam and your little one!
ReplyDeleteooo. we had warm weather today. is is warm before the storm? i would appreciate it if you kept it on your side of the states. i am not quite ready :)
ReplyDeleteSnow?! I had to check to see where you live. It's been cold lately and we even started the wood furnace this weekend but I am NOT ready for the snow!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYup, that's what it looked like here too!!
ReplyDeleteIsn't fabric the perfect souvenir from traveling friends and family! Love those you received.
Our quilt guild has been doing Quilts of Valor for two years. I think we've done 70 quilts so far. Good for you on organizing blog quilters.
For once, I am glad that I am in MI right now with no snow :)
ReplyDeleteYour nephew looks like such a cutie!
snow...eeek! that's freaking me out a bit. i'll bet it was fun and different having your nephew in the house. he's a cutie!
ReplyDeleteSo much for global warming. I love your quilts. Keep up the great job!
ReplyDeleteSnow? Now? It's too early for that mess.
