Julie S said...

Hi, I'm Julie in Washington. I have no idea what I would to with the scraps. I would follow my usual "routine" when I bring new fabric into the house. I set it on the dining room table where I can see it many times a day...this may go on for weeks. Finally, the fabric speaks to me and tells me what it wants to be! O.k. it does not really talk, but just glancing at the fabrics over the course of time usually sparks creativity!

I'm Kristen and I'm from Maine (where it's cold and rainy and foggy and damp and rainy) and if I were to win the scraps I'd use them in two projects - a doll quilt and a matching crib quilt for a little girl who took her time entering the world.

Also, I make my niece a doll quilt for her American dolls for Christmas every year and am using some scraps from two Moda collections that would be fabulous with your Oh Cherry Oh scraps. I would use the scraps for these sweet little pouches I make, they are purses that one can wear criss-crossed across the chest. I make a rectangle, quilt it to death, make a pocket, and then fold it up and bind the raw edges...I will also let my girls have a few that they love to use for their Polly Pocket adventures. Love your blog!

I would like to try to learn how to quilt so that I can continue the tradition. Thank you! liveloveandserve@gmail.com

Oooh fun! I love these cherry fabrics, but have too much fabric and too little budget; so can't buy any right now. But I'd love at least a "taste" of them before they become impossible to find!! I would use these for an apron for my daughter, and maybe a table runner depending how much there is. My name is Lisa and I absolutely love reading your blog- I love to quilt and seeing how much you do makes me realize I'm not the only one with the "sickness"! =)

I make lots of baby quilts (I have 7 grands and another on the way); I also like to participate in a monthly block lotto and use my scraps...I keep trying to diminish the pile...REALLY!!! I do try! Would love to add these beauties to the mix! I also want to make some tea wallets soon for friends and gifts.

Well, I'm Laura and I'm in Florida, and--inspired by you, no less--I'm collecting scraps for a knitted rug for my kids' music room. I have never tried the spiderweb though, and having a whole set of color-coordinated scraps might just send me in that direction! Thanks again for a great opportunity to create.

Hi I'm Andrea and I'm in Alberta. I would use these scraps to make log cabin squares, or to frame blocks for another fabric line I'm using in a quilt. Truthfully, they'd probably just end up in a beautiful mason jar on my sewing table to show off the pretty colours, until I get my 4 other projects that are in line completed. But they would be perfectly displayed in that mason jar. ;-)
