i just joined in the old red barn company quilt along.
i'm ok with it, because i'm using up my stash. yay!
so i can buy new stash. YAY!

it's a vicious cycle.

(dana is only on week 2, so it's not too late to start.)

Seems like very lovely fabrics you have been cutting. Look forward to see the whole quilt
Ha Ha!!! I've joined also!! I'll blog about my "week 2" soon!
Love your fabric choices.
I emailed you yesterday asking if you wanted to participate somehow in the quilt along. Maybe a guest post or something? Let me know.
I really want to participate in this quilt-along, so I think I could get caught up this weekend with the cutting. I have two stacks of fabric in mind to use for this project. Love the fabrics you chose for yours!
ha - i'm considering the same thing... but also feel like i've got too many projects in the works! (but really, what's one more?!)
Love your fabric choices! I really want to play along too but I think I will just sit on the side lines this time and watch your quilt come together.
Love your choices! Don't worry, we all have more projects going than we care to admit.
If anyone could add that to her list of things to do YOU COULD! I can't wait to see your quilt. :D
Sent you an email with some questions. Did you get it?? :D
Haha, I'm doing it too! I couldn't resist a quilt-along. It's a terrible addiction. ;-)
Oh wow!!! I love your fabrics, they are just perfect. Your quilting work is just wonderful and just what I would love to make. I really must make a quilt someday soon. You have inspired me.
Amanda Jean, I love your fabric choices. I love pink and green anyway but I adore that polka dot in there. Can't wait to see it come together! I'm doing the same quilt-along and using Michael Miller's Funky Christmas line. I just ordered it yesterday so I can't wait to get started.
Yeah, I joined too (hangs head), but I am also using stuff from my stash, so that's how I'm justifying it. I know it has nothing to do with finishing, but it will make the piles in my room a little smaller perhaps.
Hi, me again! What size quilt can you get out of a jelly roll? Assuming that you use most of the fabric. Thanks, Sarah.
Pretty fabrics. You are one busy lady!
Okay, you've convinced me. I've been on the fence, but I just remembered some great fabrics I can use.
I'm such a good follower.
Thanks for the heads up. . .I blogged on over and am joining in on the fun! Love your fabric choices, I better get movin'!
I too am quilting along. Can't wait to get it finished.
Wow! What is your secret to keeping so many projects straight? Is your sewing table a big crazy mess, or are you good to keep things really organized?
That stack looks wonderful!
My fabric is in the washer as I type. Some is folded. First I have to piece the back then work on the strips using the leftovers for the front. I always have to make things more complicated. :)
Thanks again AmandaJean for another project in the works! I am really excited since this quilt-a-long is a first for me! Thanks for letting us know about it.
Rebecca
Thanks Amanda Jean!! Count me in!!!
I'm going to enjoy watching this one from the sidelines, it looks like a fun quick project
Oh no!! Please not another beautiful quilt and quilt along...
I just joined, too. Kind of... I grabbed the button, and I plan on participating, but I have to go get some fabric tomorrow to start it.
hahaha.
i joined 2 weeks ago.
had the same mentality...
"what's one more project???"
I love your choice of fabrics. I joined as well and can't wait for next week!!
I was just visiting her blog yesterday, she's got some great giveaways too!
I love your fabrics. I am going to go check out that quilt along, too!
I have been wrestling with myself trying to decide if I have time for this. Parents will accept "I was busy quilting" as an excuse for their kids not getting report cards this year, right?
Gorgeous choices and I can't wait to see your finished quilt!
In your case, one more iron in the fire is a million irons in the fire! That's why you're Crazy Mom!
Ok, Ok, Ok!!! Enough already! It seems every blog I've visited lately is participating. I'll join you ~ there, I said it. I'm IN. I will shop ONLY from stash (except maybe backing) and I'll have to get caught up with cutting this weekend. SIGH...I'm so not good with peer pressure ;)
Ok I'm in too. As with Jessica above, I will try and use scraps only. I have just completed my first patch and it looks so lovely. Do you usually change threads depending on what colour fabrics you are using, or use the same thread for all patches?
What yummy looking fabric. Can't wait to see the finished product!
Ha-ha! I just made my first quilt, ever and it´s not even ready yet. Then I find your blog and I realize I have a lot to learn... But you can check out its embryo on my blog. Thank you for sharing, by the way.
I'm doing this one too. Your fabric choices are great. Can't wait to see it finished.
I've been pondering this too...but I'm barely able to keep up with your quilt along.
I can always start it later, right? :)
Great choice in fabric/color! I don't know where you find the time to do everything that you do!! You are pretty darned amazing, girl!!
i saw it the other day...dana's quilt was sooo cute...i just can't though...i'll live virtually through your quilt...ok?
I love your colours for this quilt.
I am currently working on creating a stash myself :)
send me some of your quilting energy...and fast!
Dude, I'm so in that one too! I've got alot of catching up to do!
"One more iron in the fire"
My thoughts exactly!! Thanks for this link. I just joined in the fun. I think I"m at capacity now....!
I cut mine today too! Glad you are working through your stash :)
The interesting thing about sewing is that buying the fabric is the best part.......the game is to finish projects as fast as you can, so you can buy more fabric!!!!
I can't wait to see it.
Hi there,
I came across your blog about a month ago and can't get your work out of my head! I'm so inspired! And all that quilting on a simple little machine. Amazing! I just linked your blog on mine, so I thought I'd let you know. Thank you for the fantastic posts you put up. And feel free to come by my blog when you have a chance!
One more iron in the fire can make you feel a little bit crazy, at least when you already have plenty going on.
Word verification is funder!!! Maybe I should make up a defintion for that.
You've got me! This quilt-along looks like fun and a nice quilt to boot! I'm working with the stash principle too!
I'm joining too - finally decided what fabric to use, took me forever, so will have to cut tomorrow!
Wish I had done your nine patch quilt along!
Thanks for another great idea. I have never sewn in one of these Quilt Alongs, and it's not something I need right now with deadlines looming! But heh, you said it would use up some stash, and I reall do need that!
I have shared this in my post on my site. Thanks for all od fthe inspiration! Carolyn
Nice color choices. A quilt along sounds fun.
Oooh, lovely, lovely colours - you must have a stash to die for! But what I don't get is this: if you're always making quilts how come you've always got a stash, with a CHOICE?!!!
Mmmm... that stack looks lovely. I'm excited to see what you stitch up with it.
Ah, the vicious cycle. You're one of the only crafters I know who actually puts her stash to good use, and you visit it with regularity. So stash on!
