oh my goodness...that is painfully adorable....what a sweet little top. I wonder if i can get it on my list of a thousand other things to make for my house/kids and friends!!!
Very cool. I made something similar for my kids when they were little(!). It also makes a nice shower gift, sewn small and made in yellow or soft green. I used a Folkwear pattern that was a bit more complicated and fussy. Yours is VERY cute, as is the chickadee wearing it!
oh, i love this. did you see the quilted one? i thought of you when i saw it. i made my daughter the dress today with the tie on the side. i think it took about a half hour!
Dear Amandajean, yesterday I have finished my first quilt, a book cover. Thanks a lot for your excellent binding tutorial, my corners need improvement but are not bad at all. Continue with your lovely and helpfull blog, please! Blandina (from Florence, Italy)
I'm so glad you posted a pic with it on someone because then you can see how WAY cute it is!

ReplyDeleteHow in this world do you do all that you do? I think I have asked you that before. You really amaze me. She is beautiful and the top is too.
ReplyDeleteI love the "catwalk"-like pose. Very cute little top
ReplyDeleteNow if you make one of these in a shiny brocade, the two of us would match. But this is more practical for everyday wear.
ReplyDeleteHave you thought of making one in your size?
She is a cutie!
ReplyDeleteDarling top.
I want one for me!
Very cute! I remember when I used to sew for my kids when they were little! No chance of that now they are teens!

ReplyDeleteLOVE the dotted kimono. I need to kick my butt in gear and make mine now.
ReplyDeleteSHE is adorable. Absolutely the essence of cuteness.
ReplyDeleteAnd she would even look good in a hospital gown... which, as cute as the kimono is, is what I thought of first.
I never thought I would see these again! So popular when I was a baby and then gone!
ReplyDeleteGreat tutoial.
