So I've known my new friend for less than a week, and I already have her helping me sandwich my quilts. (Thanks Hjordi.)
I'm ready to start quilting this one, and I always get nervous before beginning. There are a few reasons: because I know that quilting makes the quilt and I am using different batting than usual. I wanted this quilt to be a bit more poofy, just for a change of pace and I am hoping that I don't regret this choice when it is all said and done.
Gee whiz, I can even make quilting stressful.
You are so goofy! Just do it, you know it will turn out good, it always does! : )
ReplyDeleteThis part always slows me down, mostly due to the fact that I have a hard time deciding how to quilt it in the first place, and also because I'm so afraid of screwing up!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you have made a very good friend indeed.
ha ha! how funny, i'm planning a quilt SO similar to this one! it looks amazing, maybe i won't ever show mine - you'll outdo me for sure!
ReplyDeleteThe quilting is the scariest part because it can make or break the quilt. Normally about halfway through I just hate the whole thing, but when it's done it's nearly always quite successful. Good luck on this one!
ReplyDeleteI've stopped working on my first quilt. I'm so terrified I'll screw it up!!! The top is finished and I'm almost finished piecing the back. The actual quilting part is what's KILLING me!
ReplyDeleteI would never have guessed that you would be nervous. You'll do a great job. You always do.
I'm sure it will be beautiful!! Anxious to see the end result. So glad you met a new friend! I knew it wouldn't take long! Miss ya!
ReplyDeleteYour friend is already quilting with you? She's a keeper!
ReplyDeletelets see...everything i have seen you do is AMAZING. i have no doubt this will be amazing as well!
ReplyDeleteglad you found a friend to help you sandwich! it'll be great - just go for it!
ReplyDeleteI know it will turn out great! Its good to try new things, right?
ReplyDeleteFrom what I have seen of the work that you do, you have nothing to fear! Now get busy! JK, so glad yo met a new friend already and that you share something in common.
ReplyDeleteWhat are you going to do with this one? I need to get going on my blue and yellow one, and then another, and now that Emili and Nate are engaged, yet another one.
ReplyDeleteIt will feel better when you've started! the quilt looks delicious (if that's possible...), makes me want to start a big quilt again.
ReplyDeleteI only quilt small things because I'm afraid of quilting bigger ones! I can't wait to see the finished product!
ReplyDeletePlease don't make quilting stressful! I come here to look at your stitched creations for my own little moments of stress release. Can't wait to see how your latest QIP turns out.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, you've been tagged as a Rockin' Girl Blogger!
