I built a log cabin!

Welcome to finish it up Friday!

You guys, I did it!!! I built a log cabin (quilt)!!!! It's not a tiny one, either.
Start date: May 18, 2016
Number of blocks: 132
Number of pieces in each block: 17
Total number of pieces: 2244
Finished size: 108" x 99"
Total yards of fabric used (approximately): 12.1 yards !!!!!

It feels AMAZING to have this quilt top complete!

  10. That is GORGEOUS!! I did one years ago with tiny little blocks and ONE DANG BLOCK didn't fit and I tried twice to fix it and it's still laying around. :-( It'll probably never get done (so annoying)

    My blog is private now, but by next week I hope to have two finishes. One is a quilt for my son I started three years ago! The other one is a Swoon quilt for my granddaughters that I started last year. I am so excited to be down to the binding part using your tutorial, of course. ;)

  29. Love the red 'fire in the hearth' center of each of the blocks, and the use of a mix of light fabrics instead of a constant muslin. Super job, and, yes, it is a happy quilt.
