After finishing several quilts last month, I allowed myself to start a new project. In the middle of last year, I had 25 WIPs (gasp)....and I managed to whittle that number down to 10! I think I've earned the new project! :)
mini coffee pattern to make the blocks, but I'm shooting for a lap size quilt this time around. (You can see the two minis I made here.) I decided to use the test blocks that I made when I was developing pattern and just add to those. They vary a bit from one another, but I actually like that. One block was too small, so I added a little border. It works!
Only 98 more blocks to go..... (Ha!)
Because I know someone will ask, the handles are appliqued on with fusible applique. I prefer Lite Steam a Seam or Lite Steam a Seam 2. I've tried other fusible products but I had so much trouble removing the paper backing and it was maddening. The Steam a Seam products are GREAT!
That is going to be so cool! I love how all the blocks are just a little different. Nothing wrong with having 10 (or 30, 40, 50...) WIP! :)
I love your beautiful red cups. And I love WIPs.
I'm afraid to even count my WIPs!
I was wondering what seemed odd to me and it was the "righty" cups. I'm a lefty and those ones looked perfectly normal to me lol. Love it can't wait to try some myself!
Goodness gracious that is a whole lot of WIPs!
I love your coffee cups quilt pattern Amanda Jean and just went and purchased it! I know just then person to make one for! Your is just so sweet done up in reds and white like that.
I'm a leftie, we get left out of so much it's nice to know we have a coffee cup. Love your blog.

The cups are so cute and cheerful in red and white!
I'm trying to finish some projects too. lol, just have to start another one! Love the coffee cups. Our quilt guild did a quilt where each member made a block with a tea cup and put there name on it. Turned out nice.
98 more? You will probably knock those out this week! You are a very prolific quilter. :-)
I have mugs on my design wall too. My blocks are 4" finished. I love yours in red and white. I have several ufo's in progress. I have not counted.
As a leftie, I do love the leftie handles!
This lefty loves it! Great valentine's quilt!
I'm embarrassed to say I have 25 wips too. ;)
Love your little cute mugs - this will make a great quilt.
As a fellow leftie, I love the flipped cups! Great job whittling down the WIPs. I got rid of some WIPs last year that no longer 'sparked joy' and am working my way through the remaining ones - with an occasional new project- this year as well. I have my nerdy little list and am chugging along happily.
Oh what fun and how cute! That's going to be a to be a lot of little cups, but it's going to fantastic when finished I bet. :)
This will be such a fun filled quilt!
They're so cute! I'm a lefty too, so I appreciate the nod. :o)
This is such a fun block! I've been smitten with it ever since you first shared it in your good neighbors fabric :)
A BIG congrats on whittling down your WIP! I also have about 25. I would love to whittle my down to 10! Cute mugs!! Will be a darling quilt!!
When you are having fun - who is counting. I like the red and white coffee cups.
I love the coffee cups. It's going to make a great quilt.
I drink my tea with my left hand. Usually because I am writing, scrolling, or sketching with my right at the same time.
And yes, you deserve a new start for sure!
I love the cups with that applique handles!!
I love those tiny coffee cups! Are you going to do them all in red and white or are you going to do more colours? Either way, it's going to be a lovely quilt.
Have you tried scratching the paper with a pin? Works great! Adorable cups!
This would be a really great block to have a bunch of people do collaboratively as a gift for a creative person. That way each one could have a cuppa with the recipient. I love your stamina.
Amanda, Your scrappy rug is great! I have lot a of scraps that will now have a way to shine one day! The pink pincushion is especially cute. Your work is always inspirational!
