it's a big, BIG day

Well, today is a big day in my household on two counts. It's the first day of school. My oldest started high school (!!!) today. I can't even begin to tell you how funny that makes me feel inside. At this point it's pretty much "hold on for the ride!" Sigh. I may have shed a few tears....
The other big news today is the release of my new fabric line! Yep, that's right. Good Neighbors is now for sale exclusively at Connecting Threads! (You can buy it by the yard or in bundles/pre-cuts.) This has been in the works since May of 2014 and I am so excited that release day is finally here! I can sincerely say, I can not wait to see what you make!
Thank you ALL so much for your excitement and your kind comments about good neighbors so far. I never dreamed I would ever see my name on a selvage, but I'm so thankful that I had the opportunity to try my hand at fabric design. I appreciate your support more than I can say. xoxo

Happy Monday to you!

So excited for your fabric release! It's a beautiful collection, and you should be so proud. And yes, my mother's heart knows exactly how you feel about today's big day for your kids. I was going through old baby clothes last night and shedding a few tears myself. Where does the time go?

Congrats on both accounts! Great colors in your fabric.

O h I so remember those first days of school and to know that one is old enough high school in mind blowing for sure. I look back and now realize how fast it goes.
Love you colors, so bright and cheery. I'll have to see what they offer. Congrats

Wow - big news on both counts!!! Time just flies when you have children doesn't it? And congratulations on the new fabric line - what an amazing milestone. Any plans for distribution in the UK?

Congrats on the fabric line. It looks like it will be fun to work with. I'm sure you have done your job when the kids were young -- so high school will be just fine. It's a fun few years. Sally

My eldest started high school this year, too! It just seems wrong that they are that old already, doesn't it? Or maybe it's wrong that we're that old... ;) I have been waiting for your fabric to be available and I'm so excited for you!

COngratulations! I can't wait to get my hands on some of this line!

It's just absurd to have a child old enough to go into high school. I cried like a baby after I dropped my son off for his first day... then I went shopping ;0

Congratulations on the fabric line, it's gorgeous.

Mine only is a junior this year and it seems like just yesterday she was a freshman. Now life is about ACT and PSAT tests, along with emails from colleges inviting her to come visit. Enjoy every minute of the craziness cause it goes fast.

I love the addition of the gray in your first fabric line. It is all just beautiful!

Your new fabric is beautiful!

My son starts school today as a junior. Hard to believe as he's my youngest. It's been an especially emotional time here for me. My mom died unexpectedly on 8/20 and then I had to drop my daughter at college for her first time on 8/29. Not sure I have any more tears left. Such an emotionally draining time. Hoping for some cool fall air to refresh and renew. Unfortunately it's still hot and humid here in SE WI ugh!!! Best wishes with your fabric line 👏

Congratulations on both counts! My oldest is starting high school next week- it's a whole new world, isn't it?! Unfortunately, I don't also have a fabric line coming out! (Someday!) :) I love Good Neighbors!!!!! It's rare for me to be able to say I love every single fabric in a line, but I can honestly say I love all of these. Great work!

Hi!

I'm sorry if someone already asked this, but is there anyway for us outside the US to buy your fabric? Other than getting a mail forwarding service that's suggested om the Connecting threads website. I think it sounds risky with two different shippings, it seems to double the risk of loosing the package.

Best regards,
Malin in Sweden

I am so happy for you! Congrats on the fabric!! (You will survive the kids getting older, I PROMISE!!)

So happy for you! I'll be keeping an eye out at our local quilt shops for your fabric for sure. And keep hanging on and enjoying the ride... fabric wise and the children growing up and entering new stages of their lives. As others have mentioned... as mothers we do survive each stage. Then just when we think we've got that one all figured out, they move on to the next! :)
