playing

I haven't understood all the dresden plate hype....until today.
It was my intention to make a dresden plate pin cushion. I made my own template for the pedals and jumped right in. My dresden ended up about 7.5" across. It's waaaay too big for a pin cushion, but will make a great pillow instead. It's definitely not the worst thing to happen. You can bet that I will be trying again!

Oooohhhhh, it's beautiful!!! Love it. This will make a cheery pillow. Is that linen for the background? I haven't gotten into the Dresden Plate hype yet either, but I'm sure it's just a matter of time ;-)

I've figured out why this blog is called Crazy Mom.

Love your new dresden plate! Such sweet colors and prints in there. This will make a fabulous pillow. I have always loved the old fashioned charm of dresden plates but never knew how to make them. Last year I made one into a color wheel mini quilt which hangs on my wall - love it. Hope you end up making more!

That is very beautiful. Hmmm... maybe I should... wait. My to-do-list is so long that I can't find the end to add this to it! After I move the 5 piles of to-do off my table, I might be able to add this. Optimism is great!

Dresden Plate must be the pattern this month. I just saw a beautiful pillow with the dresden plate on it a few minutes ago. I think a dresden plate is in my future.
