the status of my quilt cupboard

45 quilts

this does not include the ones I have hanging on the walls (3)
or the ones that are on our beds (4)

just a side note, several of these are in use in our home at any given time. I rotate several of them periodically, especially the lap quilts.

Your cupboard is almost full - what are you going to do when it is full? Love seeing all your quilts - what great inspiration!

They look lovely like that with just peeks of fabric showing. Like a magazine cover would.

Wow! This is amazing. I never keep the stuff I make. I would like to have a cupboard like this someday!

How beautiful! And what about how many you have given away? What is your grand number of finished quilts?

They look so yummy, all stacked up :)

Wow, how wonderful - what sizes are they mostly?

Also, what is your recommendation for a good size of a baby quilt?

Anonymous said...

Talk about some busy stitching! I can't wait for mine to look that way, too!!

that looks stunning...and cozy and wonderful

Amanda Jean said...

cab,

most of them are probably lap size
and all of the ones on the bottom are baby, so they would be the second most plentiful.

I don't know how many of them I have given away, but I have made about 80 quilts now, baby size or larger.

Your quilt cupboard is quite impressive! My closet full of quilts does not look that inviting!

Amanda Jean said...

cab,

I forgot to answer your second question....I think standard baby size quilt is 45" x 60", but you can make it any size you would like. personally, I wouldn't go much smaller than 36" square.

SuzyQSparkles said...

So. Are they always so tidy and neatly stacked? Or was this special for the camera? ;)

I always like the look of my linens when I finish folding and stacking them up, but, inevitably, with use, they tend to get skaddy-wampus!

Thanks for sharing your delightful cupboard!
