...the first produce of the year from my garden. Hurray! I cannot tell you how much I love going out to the garden and picking fresh veggies to add to my dinner.
It was sooooo good. We eat stir fry over plain spaghetti noodles, add a little soy sauce to it (so it ends up like a little like lo mein). For the adults, we add a little HOT chili sauce for some extra kick. Easy and delicious!

The cucumbers are coming next. And green beans! Oh, I love my garden.
Now, for some yellow on the quilting front...

ReplyDeleteI always love what you do. Your blog is one of my favorites! I wanted to ask you what kind of sewing machine that you use. I am looking for a machine that does great free motion and mine seems to pull the thread on the bottom. I can't seem to get the tension right and I think it is just the machine. What machine do you use?
ReplyDeleteAwesome yellows; those veggies look so good. Nothing better than home grown veggies...I actually had success with basil this year...a miracle for Calgary - ok I had to buy a greenhouse to do it, but I did it!

ReplyDeleteI have a JUKI TL-98Q. It's a great sewing machine for piecing and quilting. I would highly recommend it. I very rarely have tension issues with it...my last machine (which was a low end Huskvarna) had tons of tension issues...which leads me to believe that some machines just aren't cut out to do free motion quilting.

ReplyDeleteNot much better than fresh from the garden...we're up to our ears in cucumbers. My mom's made two batches of pickles already. Last year we didn't have enough for one. Go figure!
ReplyDeleteWell I love yellow. And one of the best things about summer is the fruit and veg from the garden. Next month I'll be complaining about having too much though. When all the tomatoes and peppers are ready I'll be elbow deep in salsa. And fruit drying or bottling. Its nice when its done though. Your vintage sheet quilt looks darling.
