finally!!!

After working on it for nearly 3 days straight, I got the top together. (Well, 3 days of my free time, anyway.) I am a little burnt out on the precision piecing now. I need to get back to some random piecing to calm my nerves a little bit. That being said, I LOVE IT! It's better than I had imagined.

There is a border pieced square border on the top, you just can't see it because that is what my little assistants are gripping while I shot the photo. :)

I am so amazed at how much quilting you get done in your “Free Time”; you are truly a gifted quilter.

  9. This looks fabulous. I'm working on finishing mine tonight too. I made a baby quilt version by picking my 6 favourite blocks. And, there's no way I'm cutting 430 squares for the border!!! Hopefully it'll be a bit quicker!

  20. Awesome. Totally awesome. I'm so impressed with the whole process, and I love the final product (I didn't have the vision throughout the stages to imagine how great the final quilt would be). The little assistant hands are super sweet.

  21. I, only have one row of small blocks on. I thought I'd divide up the cutting and sewing. You've given me the inspiration to keep chugging along.

  41. lovely layout, I am a little scared of the 430 squares, so I choose a border fabric for a broad second border and will make another small one pieced with the scraps, photos coming soon.

I didn't join in because i didn't have the fabric, then I got behind, then I was jealous because the blocks looked so nice, then I stopped being jealous of everyone cutting out 430 little squares and sewing them back together, no I am back to being jealous. I hope everyone who made one of these with you will post pictures because I can't wait to see the different interpretations.
