This quilt will be going to my wonderful Mother-in-law today. I was originally making it for myself, but decided I need to give it away. If I decide to make another one for me, I have plenty of pink fabric on hand.
Here is the backing fabric...I love the back and binding...more so than the front.
Here are a few of my favorite parts of the quilt...
There are no puckers in my quilt. None. This surprises me and I am so happy to report that I am a much better quilter than a year ago. Hurray for progress!
We have a family reunion to go to today for my husband's side of the family. Thankfully, the weather has cooled down a bit, so maybe giving a quilt as a gift in July won't seem quite as crazy.
That quilt is really lovely. Your free motion stippling is excellent!
ReplyDeleteI was looking at some of your earlier posts since I just found your blog a week ago. I found your Dec. 21 post and was tickled. I used that same line of fabric for quilts for my daughter. I plan to post a little quilt tour of my home this week so be sure and stop by my blog! You'll be able to see your fabrics used "the Buggy Barn" way!
Also, it is really great to see someone else in her thirties who loves to quilt, sew and craft-- someone who seems to need to be creative the same way I do! HA.

Oh, my goodness, that is sooo pretty! Wow, you are an amazing quilter! Do you have a long arm or just really good at machine quilting? i've given up on machine quilting, my neck starts to ache, my fingers cramp, it's not pretty. So I hand quilt. So I don't make many quilts.

I've admired this quilt since you first posted it in its beginning stages, and with each step closer that you came to completion, I fell more and more in love.
