diamond pin cushion

The other day I needed a little bit of sanity sewing.
(Or perhaps this could be considered insanity sewing?)
Either way, it was just what I needed!
It was inspired by my diamond pillow pattern.
Finished size is 4 1/2'' square.
It is scrap project #123!

Also, thank you so much for your sweet comments about the quilt for my dad! They are all appreciated! xo

I love it. I always feel silly saving the little pieces, but they would be perfect for this!

This cushie is adorable. I may have to practice some sanity sewing soon too.

I loved the quilt for your dad, and the photographing of it at the farm was perfect! so beautiful. I don't know... this tiny tiny stuff is your sanity sewing? It would drive me insane (although I love the sweet little pin cushion).

I follow your blog from 2012, I think, and I love each of your quilts, bags, coasters, pincusions..... well done!

A little question: in your previous post, the one about your dad's quilt (wonderful), the submission period is open for a month???

Love, love! After my finish my 12th pair of socks for 2015, I'm returning to sewing. It makes me ridiculously happy even to sew on scout patches. That's how I know I need to get myself back to my machine. Bring on the crazies. We have skills to meet them head on. :)

Love this. I am also desperately in need of some [in]sanity sewing!

This is super cute...adorable! Sanity is hard to come by at the end of the year...dang holidays and all! But everything will fall back in to line shortly!

This is great and I love the "open" center for the pins. Sometimes it is difficult to stick the pins through seams.

I really need to start making some pincushions, yours are all so very pretty! I think that is a good New Year weekend project for me!

What a cute pillow! I have been trying to decide how to make new covers for some living room pillows and think I will do some quilted ones.

I don't even want to know how tiny those diamond pieces are! Let's just say, they've won our hearts.
Happy 2016

Oh, I love this! I gave my daughter sewing related bits and pieces as part of her Xmas present, a tailor's ham, bobbin box, tailor's chalk. I didn't have time to make a pincushion, but I am definitely inspired by this little beauty!
