The other day I needed a little bit of sanity sewing.
(Or perhaps this could be considered insanity sewing?)
Either way, it was just what I needed!
It was inspired by my diamond pillow pattern.
Finished size is 4 1/2'' square.
It is scrap project #123!
Also, thank you so much for your sweet comments about the quilt for my dad! They are all appreciated! xo

Too, too cute! Can't have enough pincushions!
Every time I see cute things like this, I keep thinking I need more solids in my stash!
I love it. I always feel silly saving the little pieces, but they would be perfect for this!

Love it - we all need a little "sew" time!
Another cute project! And that quilt for your dad: simply perfect. I am sure he really appreciates it!!
I adore this pincushion!
Would love to win one of your patterns
This cushie is adorable. I may have to practice some sanity sewing soon too.
I loved the quilt for your dad, and the photographing of it at the farm was perfect! so beautiful. I don't know... this tiny tiny stuff is your sanity sewing? It would drive me insane (although I love the sweet little pin cushion).
I follow your blog from 2012, I think, and I love each of your quilts, bags, coasters, pincusions..... well done!
A little question: in your previous post, the one about your dad's quilt (wonderful), the submission period is open for a month???
Love, love! After my finish my 12th pair of socks for 2015, I'm returning to sewing. It makes me ridiculously happy even to sew on scout patches. That's how I know I need to get myself back to my machine. Bring on the crazies. We have skills to meet them head on. :)
You are so funny! This pincushion is a gem!
Love this. I am also desperately in need of some [in]sanity sewing!
This is super cute...adorable! Sanity is hard to come by at the end of the year...dang holidays and all! But everything will fall back in to line shortly!
This is great and I love the "open" center for the pins. Sometimes it is difficult to stick the pins through seams.
I really need to start making some pincushions, yours are all so very pretty! I think that is a good New Year weekend project for me!
I love this little pincushion - making my own version this week after seeing your adorable one - thanks for your great blog! Happy New Year!
So adorable. What size are your squares?
So cute - and yes "sanity quilting"
that is so stinking cute!!!
What a cute pillow! I have been trying to decide how to make new covers for some living room pillows and think I will do some quilted ones.
Love this one . . . they just keep getting better and better.
Happy New Year! You are always an inspiration to keep on truckin! (And heh, who doesn't love a pin cussion!)

So itty bitty! You could be the queen of the mini mini quilts if you so chose!
So cute! Sometimes we all need a quick little project.
Love that bright little diamond set on point - what a cute pincushion Amanda Jean!
Very cute-as usual.. Happy New Year!!
I don't even want to know how tiny those diamond pieces are! Let's just say, they've won our hearts.
Happy 2016
Oh, I love this! I gave my daughter sewing related bits and pieces as part of her Xmas present, a tailor's ham, bobbin box, tailor's chalk. I didn't have time to make a pincushion, but I am definitely inspired by this little beauty!
