I finished my 20th block for my scrappy trip along. Today's goal is to try to get the blocks into a quilt top. I enjoyed making this quilt very much. I must like it an awful lot...I cut into my Ruby and Flea Market Fancy fabric, after all!
It just so happens that my quilt matches a knit hat that I'm working on. Love it when that happens!

How funny, I took a deep breath and cut some ruby and FMF too! I am finishing the last 4 blocks today for a total of 36 and plan on getting the top together as well. But I am a little ahead, I folded up the pile yesterday! This was such a fun project. I have loved seeing everyone's versions.

I'm starting a new thing in a new year....
I do the things I hate to do but must do first in the morning I spend 1 hour,setting my timer 23 minutes at a time to push me to keep moving on task...Madame Samm said so :) just for Cleaning...I
put on a fun or inspirational CD and I worship and work on the chaos until the CD is finished. I am easily distracted this keeps me on task.
Sewing is way more fun than the dreaded laundry that never ends. So be stitch happy today for sure!
Can't wait for the showing of the finished quilt.

ReplyDeleteOh mylanta, 120 fabrics? I do not think i have that many to choose from. I just looked at the tutorial. That's a cool method to make the blocks but still 120 fabrics? I can't wrap my brain around that. Have fun with the layout.
ReplyDeleteThe tutorial looks like a great way to get a lot of blocks without cutting each one individually...genius! I'm scared though looking at the intersections. Do you have any tips for making sure the blocks match up since they are so small?

I've caught the fever too and when my husband is out of town next week I'm hoping to get my entire quilt top done in a few days. Mine is mostly a mismash of scraps but I LOVE your color scheme! Its going to be stunning when it done, can't wait to see it.

I've just had ago at the trip around the world block for a baby quilt for my sister. I used bright colours as I don't know if she is having a boy or girl and I'm really pleased with it.
