She ticker taped the outside of this one. Of course I love that detail!
You open it up and there are compartments inside.......and even MORE compartments. It has a place to store needles on one side and pins on the other. It's such a cute bag with lots of great details.
I'm completely charmed that I am now the owner of this bag (thanks Michelle!) and that I didn't have to make it. Since I haven't made one (yet) I can't vouch for the pattern, but I hear from Tara that it's a fun challenge and the pattern is brilliant in terms of construction. And I totally value her opinion. :)
If you would like to win a copy of the pattern (in PDF form) please leave me a comment. In your comment I'd like to hear what quilty thing you are asking for for Christmas.
If you don't win the pattern you can purchase one here.
One comment per person, please. I'll pick the winner sometime on Thursday.
Hope you have a terrific Tuesday!

ReplyDeleteCute bag!
ReplyDeleteI cut out the picture, told my Santa where to find it in the store and which stores were going to offer it, and he already bought it and offered it for me to use... a tiny iron for paper piecing. I'm spoiled, sez my mom, cause I get whatever I ask for... but then there are never any surprises.
Hugs
The bag is so awesome! I love all the compartments. You can never have enough pockets. :)

ReplyDeleteI didn't ask for anything quilty for Christmas, since I have more than I will get through in one lifetime already. I did ask for (and already got) a new laptop so I can read all of my quilty blogs a little faster & easier. My old laptop is about shot in terms of programs and still using XP.
ReplyDeletecool bag! I would like a new acrylic ruler with the lip on the end that sits on the edge of the cutting mat - my cat decided it looked better on the floor and broke it
ReplyDeleteenigmatic_15 at yahoo dot com
The construction seems clever indeed. I wan't to try this out. Thanks to you and Michelle for the giveaway. For Christmas, I'm asking for blades for my rotary cutter and a sharpener. Also those great clips from Clover: http://www.clover-usa.com/product/0/3155/_/Wonder_Clips_(10_pieces). This would be a great project to use them I guess

ReplyDeleteWhat a great bag! Thanks for sharing the pattern! I want a quilt book for Christmas. Either Feathering the Nest or Making Quilts- the promise of Joy!!
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.

ReplyDelete(sorry deleted previous comment since i didnt answer the question, doh!)
We aren't doing adult Christmas gifts this year, because we're going to Disney World in February, but if we were, I think I would ask for a Kona color card. I know they are not very expensive, but somehow I just never buy myself one! And it would make my life a lot easier!
ReplyDeleteThat bag is to die for...would love to be the lucky winner. I haven't asked for any quilty stuff...but time would be most welcome to complete some of my UFOs...and a little oomph to keep me motivated. Thanks for the chance.

ReplyDeleteThis is exactly the kind of pouch I need to make for an embroiderer friend of mine! I would love to get the clover clips for Christmas! Thanks for this giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI need more of the red wonderclips for binding, so that's what I will ask for.
ReplyDeleteI don't really have anything quilty on my list although I'm going to QuiltCon and I feel like that is a huge gift. I can hardly wait.
ReplyDeleteThe quilty thing I'm asking for is that my daughter and 3 daughter-in-laws will like the sewing machines I got for them for Christmas and that they will love to sew so I have partners in crime. I plan to get together with them once a month to have sewing lessons and our first lesson will be a quilt. Each is receiving a supply of sewing things and charm packs to get started. I'm so excited!
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever organizational pouch! I love that the zipper opens up so much so that the entire interior is accessible!
ReplyDeleteFor Christmas, I'm rather hoping that I get some Sizzix dies. There are some specific quilts that I have had my eye on which would be so simple to make if I had the correct dies. :-)
Love this bag....all the zips and the way it opens up wide!
ReplyDeleteFor Christmas I'm asking myself to take time to quilt!
What a beautiful and lovely bag! For Christmas I want a mountain of fabrics.... or ... a hill of fabrics...

ReplyDeleteThat bag is ADORABLE!!! I have asked for a quilty Christmas Tree ornament from my secret santa in the Philly Modern Quilt Guild. I tried asking my husband for more Sizzix quilting dies, but I don't think he heard me. :-)
ReplyDeleteI could find so many uses for this little bag... not just for sewing supplies. Love it!

ReplyDeleteI asked for a new rotary cutter and fabric for Christmas! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting Amanda Jean!
I am asking for a new iron and CD player. Both bit the dust this past weekend. :( Neat looking bag. I would love to win the pattern.
ReplyDeleteWow, fantastic. If I don't win, I would just need to buy it.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot to both of you.

ReplyDeleteYou're right!! No words...so darned cute!
ReplyDeletecute bag. I want an old Singer machine for Christmas.
ReplyDeletewhat an UBER cute bag!!!! LOVE it! I haven't asked for anything quilty for Christmas, but I would love an old red-eye Singer with a hand crank! I actually asked hubby for a KitchenAid though - but I'm not holding my breath on that one!
ReplyDeleteI am hoping Santa brings some "new" old furniture for my sewing room. Love this bag, I have some sewing buddies who would love it as well.
ReplyDeletePrecioso se ve el bolso. Me gustaria tener el patrón para realizarlo. Para navidad estoy preparando un table runner, que es muy probable que sea un ragalo.

ReplyDeleteI'm hoping for a craftsy course or two. I love that little bag.

ReplyDeleteQuilty one... Fabrics....:0) the small chevron fabrics!!!
Sorry for the double comments!!!!
Adorable and handy looking bag.
ReplyDeleteFor Christmas I'm asking for a bunch of pattern drafting books and materials - trying to learn more about clothing construction. And while others have asked for more time I actually wouldn't mind if time would slow down a bit because this is my last year with small kids at home. I'll have plenty of time on my own to sew next year - the kids will only be little this once!
oh, wow, how functional and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute! I love all of the compartments! This year I am wishing for a rotating cutting board and a new iron (with an iron board to go with it!)
ReplyDeleteThat is so neat! Love that bag. I am asking for Custom Quilting of a king sized bed quilt. I have been piecing this monster for the last year and would like to welcome in 2013 with it on my bed!

ReplyDeleteGreat bag! I'd love to try it. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThis is so lovely! I don't celebrate Christmas, but am hoping for some couture cottons to fall from the sky soon (or from my fav online store)!
ReplyDeleteThis is an awesome pattern. I actually have been looking for something like this to make for myself. I take a lot of pills and really do hate having those chunky and unattractive pill organizers. It's really not convenient for me to carry it around when I typically only need just one day with me. I use those small little bag organizers (they look like mini ziplock bags). I have one for each day of the week and have an additional few for medication that I would like to carry with me (basically as needed medication). I have a very small Vera Bradley bag that is oval and so far does the job but really is inadequate as its just too small. I carry it in my bag/purse on occasion when I'm traveling or running errands all day. Otherwise, I can just grab the days bag put it in my pocket or clutch and head out to dinner with my husband. The VB bag is nice enough but I've been wanting to make something that really works for what I need. I think this pattern would absolutely do the trick.
ReplyDeleteAs far as what I'm asking for Christmas, I'm simply asking for jelly rolls, charm packs, etc. to build my fabric collections. I also have a few quilting books on my list but I really want to add more cutesy fabrics to my extremely limited inventory.
What a geat bag. Not look for much this upcoming Christmas, just good health and keeping the lights on.
ReplyDeleteWhat a darling bag. My guilty pleasure is a new set of blocking wires for my knitting. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeletethat is one fantastic bag! I have a friend that we often get together and sew while our kids are at school, so one of us is always lugging all the stuff to the other's house and this bag would be fantastic for that!
ReplyDeleteI'm not asking for anything quilty for Christmas... got a new machine 2 years ago and additional feet for it last year, so I am very lucky indeed. This year I just get to use it to make gifts for my daughters!
I would be thrilled to win the PDF pattern. Like you, I too, would love to have one of these great little bags. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteCute bag!! All I want for Christmas is fabric! :]

ReplyDeleteI would love to sew up this little bag, it looks adorable. For Christmas this year, we are actually moving from our teensy apartment to a house! So this Christmas I am asking my boyfriend for help with making a cutting table for my soon-to-be sewing room.

elisabeth [dot] woo @gmail.com
That has a fabulous number of pockets - adds to must make list!
ReplyDeleteFor Christmas I think I'd most like some time to sew; with a toddler underfoot and a newborn due any day now I've probably got more 'raw ingredients' than I'm going to be able to sew up any time soon so maybe vouchers from my husband for a little person free afternoon!
I'm asking for more space for my quilting stuff! :)
ReplyDeleteI just love that bag! I'm asking for some aurifil threads for appliqué, and some more time for crafting- of someone could manage that
ReplyDeleteSeriously. Cute. Purse!! I would like a subscription to a quilt magazine for Christmas. I don't always buy them in the store but it would be nice to have the inspiration on a bi-monthly basis or so.
ReplyDeletevery nice purse and I like all those pockets!
ReplyDeleteWe don't do presents for christmas, but I will be very happy if my family and me can spent time together. We also have some birthday's in december, my daughter's and mine (tomorrow!) so maybe there will be some quiltingpresents. I asked for a round, turning, cuttingmat...

That is one cute bag, am adding that to my 'must buy' list.....As far as my santa wish......after using my mom's Creative Grids 12.5"sq ruler I fell in love, and I purchased a couple (like 4 other sizes of them). But now I want the rest, so for Christmas I am asking for the 2.5" sq, 4.5" sq, and 6.5" and if they have money left over..... a 16.5" square rotary cutting ruler!! Then I would have all my most used rulers in Creative Grids except for the triangle ones and there's always next year or my birthday end of January?! :) LOVE THAT Bag!!!! soooooo sew cute
