pattern giveaway

My friend Michelle wrote up a pattern for her awesome sew together bag. I'm happy to be giving away a copy of the pattern (in PDF form) today. I'm trying to figure out a way to describe JUST how cute this bag is....but there are no words. You'll just have to drool over the photos. :)
She ticker taped the outside of this one. Of course I love that detail!
You open it up and there are compartments inside....
...and even MORE compartments. It has a place to store needles on one side and pins on the other. It's such a cute bag with lots of great details.

I'm completely charmed that I am now the owner of this bag (thanks Michelle!) and that I didn't have to make it. Since I haven't made one (yet) I can't vouch for the pattern, but I hear from Tara that it's a fun challenge and the pattern is brilliant in terms of construction. And I totally value her opinion. :)

If you would like to win a copy of the pattern (in PDF form) please leave me a comment. In your comment I'd like to hear what quilty thing you are asking for for Christmas.

If you don't win the pattern you can purchase one here.
One comment per person, please. I'll pick the winner sometime on Thursday.
Hope you have a terrific Tuesday!

Oh, and thanks SO MUCH for all your sweet comment on my new purse! I appreciate each and every one! xo

  12. Cute bag!
I cut out the picture, told my Santa where to find it in the store and which stores were going to offer it, and he already bought it and offered it for me to use... a tiny iron for paper piecing. I'm spoiled, sez my mom, cause I get whatever I ask for... but then there are never any surprises.
    Hugs

This is an awesome pattern. I actually have been looking for something like this to make for myself. I take a lot of pills and really do hate having those chunky and unattractive pill organizers. It's really not convenient for me to carry it around when I typically only need just one day with me. I use those small little bag organizers (they look like mini ziplock bags). I have one for each day of the week and have an additional few for medication that I would like to carry with me (basically as needed medication). I have a very small Vera Bradley bag that is oval and so far does the job but really is inadequate as its just too small. I carry it in my bag/purse on occasion when I'm traveling or running errands all day. Otherwise, I can just grab the days bag put it in my pocket or clutch and head out to dinner with my husband. The VB bag is nice enough but I've been wanting to make something that really works for what I need. I think this pattern would absolutely do the trick.

As far as what I'm asking for Christmas, I'm simply asking for jelly rolls, charm packs, etc. to build my fabric collections. I also have a few quilting books on my list but I really want to add more cutesy fabrics to my extremely limited inventory.

    ReplyDelete
