Welcome to finish it up Friday! I hope you had a more productive week than I did!
I feel like I was so busy this week but all I have to show for it is this little mini quilt. Don't you hate that? I guess I have to consider that I was sick and so very tired this week. This mini quilt was languishing as a WIP in the craft room for a good long time. That's a sure sign that I have too many irons in the fire! So, having it bound and done IS a good thing...even if it is little. :)
How about you? Do you have a finish from the last week to share? If you do, please link to a specific post and share your finish! Then visit a few other links and help cheer others on in their finishes as well.
Happy Friday to you!
this is such a sweet little mini!
ReplyDeletelove those colors!! I am finishing the binding on this weeks finish right now and will hopefully post later today. :)
ReplyDeleteAmanda, I hope you are feeling better! I love your mini quilt with the reds and grays together! Happy Friday to you!
ReplyDeleteI love the mini quilt! This is my first time linking up so just wanted to say thanks for the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteI completely understand about having too many irons in the fire! Your mini quilt is super cute! Hope you are feeling more like yourself and that noone else got sick. Thanks for hosting! Smiles~Beth
ReplyDeleteCool quilt!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Glad to hear you're feeling better! Your mini quilt is adorable! I love the mix of colors and the look of these different sized snippets pieced together. I was happy to finish making some new sketchbook covers to take notes in class this week. Made some matching zipper pouches to hold drawing tools also.
ReplyDeleteHope you are better....your mini is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteYour mini quilt is darling!
ReplyDeleteCute mini, hope you're feeling better!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors. And me being a polka dot kind of gal, love the fabric.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting Finish Up Friday.
I finished a quilt top. Now, maybe I will get it quilted by NEXT Friday. :D

Hope your feeling much better! I think this mini is a beautiful finish - especially considering that you've been under the weather.
ReplyDeleteDo I recognize those fabrics as scraps left from the making of a certain quilt? ;o)
What a cute mini quilt!! :o) Will you hang it in your room? I have been so drawn to those colors lately, that after seeing yours I am pulling a few of mine together. ;o)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend.
hugs, Trish
ps. No finishes to link this week, I hope to have something by next week. :o)
Love the colors in your mini! Ugh, I'm sick, too. Thanks a lot, preschool germ factory. :-)
ReplyDeleteCuteness!
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain. I haven't finished a dang thing this week...but started 3 things. :(
A finish is a finish. Nice Job. It's cute.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great quilt! Even if it's a mini. I would be thrilled to have finished something as cute as that. I really love the colors.
ReplyDeleteNo finishes for me, so you managed better than I!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little quilt! That's about all I finished this week, too - a mini quilt. But I'm glad to have a "finish" at all!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend :)
That's so cute! What are you going to use it for?
ReplyDeleteNo big finish this week here. Just a ton of organizing.
ReplyDeleteFlu has hit our house too, hubby was down all day yesterday.
Love the mini! Thinking I need to get to work on a few mini's for my grand daughter.
A finish is a finish! That is a very sweet mini!
ReplyDeleteCute! What do you do with your mini quilts?
ReplyDeleteI'm finally spending more time at my sewing machine and it makes me happy! I'm working on an applique quilt top at the moment. It's nothing fancy or difficult, but having a 3 month old makes finding time tough. :P
Amanda, I love this mini quilt, colors are fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThis week I made a little mousse to leave the teath of my daughter. Here in Spain the mousse called Ratoncito Pérez, comes in the night and bring a coin or little present for children, in exchange, he gets the teath for making his home.

Nice finish for not feeling well! Thank you for hosting this party each Friday...I just love linking to this one :)
ReplyDeleteAdded 2 quilt finishes for the week and linked both back to you (you did not say too but I feel the need to share the love) Great finish for the week. Mine are both small too nothing to be ashamed by.

I wish I could say I finished posting my grades as it is the end of the quarter, but I cannot.
ReplyDeleteLove your mini quilt - such a beautiful colour scheme!
ReplyDeletegorgeous little mini quilt! yay for finishes whatever the size :) x
ReplyDeleteIt's way bigger than anything I have to show! I haven't touched my sewing machine in two weeks. Bummer. A finish of any size is something to celebrate!
ReplyDeleteA very charming scrap quiltlet. Hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a blog, so no way to link you to my finished Friday project.
ReplyDeleteI made a quilt this week! Yup! I started Monday and had it done by today. We had snow all week and I was housebound, so got out the stash and began to piece.
Now, it is not a complicated quilt, but I am very happy and yes, proud of it.
It measures 52 by 64 inches and is made of 20 different novelty fabrics that were in my stash. The pattern is that for the "Jelly Roll Race Quilt".
Oh, I forgot to tell you, I did the machine sewn binding using your directions. It is not perfect, and I need more practice, but like you say, this quilt is going to "live at my house" and I am the only one who will probably notice the imperfections.
ReplyDeleteThat is a sweet mini quilt and I love the colours :)
ReplyDeleteWe can't have big finishes every week but it's all progress!
It's a sweet little quilt - I love the variety of red fabrics! I hope you're feeling better.

Well I finished a fuschia and grey valance for our newly-painted grey bathroom. so it looks like we were on the same color wavelength this week. Your mini quilt is too cute! So sorry you were sick. It's worse when you're a Mom cuz the world doesn't stop turning when you need it to!
ReplyDeleteSize doesn't matter,a finish is a finish :) I like your mini!
ReplyDeleteI have been staring at the cover of your new book and your last post on the mini....it has inspired me to go through my stash and pull out the pinks, reds and greys. Thanks for all your inspiration (and enabling!) and thank you for hosting FUF...I've met some lovely bloggers!
ReplyDeleteI really love this mini quilt! You did a great job. I hope you are feeling back to normal really soon!
ReplyDeleteConsidering how sick you were, you should be pleased with this delightful finish!
ReplyDeleteCool quilt!
