finish it up Friday, week 11

Welcome to finish it up Friday! I hope you had a more productive week than I did!
I feel like I was so busy this week but all I have to show for it is this little mini quilt. Don't you hate that? I guess I have to consider that I was sick and so very tired this week. This mini quilt was languishing as a WIP in the craft room for a good long time. That's a sure sign that I have too many irons in the fire! So, having it bound and done IS a good thing...even if it is little. :)

How about you? Do you have a finish from the last week to share? If you do, please link to a specific post and share your finish! Then visit a few other links and help cheer others on in their finishes as well.

Happy Friday to you!

  7. Glad to hear you're feeling better! Your mini quilt is adorable! I love the mix of colors and the look of these different sized snippets pieced together. I was happy to finish making some new sketchbook covers to take notes in class this week. Made some matching zipper pouches to hold drawing tools also.

  12. Hope your feeling much better! I think this mini is a beautiful finish - especially considering that you've been under the weather.

Do I recognize those fabrics as scraps left from the making of a certain quilt? ;o)

  21. No big finish this week here. Just a ton of organizing.
Flu has hit our house too, hubby was down all day yesterday.
Love the mini! Thinking I need to get to work on a few mini's for my grand daughter.

  23. Cute! What do you do with your mini quilts?

I'm finally spending more time at my sewing machine and it makes me happy! I'm working on an applique quilt top at the moment. It's nothing fancy or difficult, but having a 3 month old makes finding time tough. :P

  24. Amanda, I love this mini quilt, colors are fantastic!
This week I made a little mousse to leave the teath of my daughter. Here in Spain the mousse called Ratoncito Pérez, comes in the night and bring a coin or little present for children, in exchange, he gets the teath for making his home.

I don't have a blog, so no way to link you to my finished Friday project.

I made a quilt this week! Yup! I started Monday and had it done by today. We had snow all week and I was housebound, so got out the stash and began to piece.

Now, it is not a complicated quilt, but I am very happy and yes, proud of it.

It measures 52 by 64 inches and is made of 20 different novelty fabrics that were in my stash. The pattern is that for the "Jelly Roll Race Quilt".

Oh, I forgot to tell you, I did the machine sewn binding using your directions. It is not perfect, and I need more practice, but like you say, this quilt is going to "live at my house" and I am the only one who will probably notice the imperfections.
