1. My little family is healthy and happy. This is no small thing, although I often overlook it when things are going well.
2. After almost a year of searching, my husband has a post-army job. (He retires from the Army at the end of this month, but it won't be a "real" retirement, because we have a 2.5 year old!)
3. After weeks of searching, we have a place to move when our lease expires in...10 days. We found it by total luck, last Friday.

Oh my! Over 700 comments. I am thankful today for the great camping trip we just came home from, my husband and two daughters, and our fabulous friends and family that we were with for the last 4 days.
I'm thankful for my kind and loving husband, with whom I'll be celebrating 2 years in 2 weeks.
I'm thankful for the courage my father taught me while he battled and eventually succumbed to cancer.

It's been a rough Monday, mentally, so my 3 things are a bit different from my normal:
1. That my husband is only gone for two more nights.
2. Grateful for a happy 3 yr. old and happy, chubby baby, in spite of the fact that they have a grumpy mom.
3. I'm happy that my hand quilting project, an almost-twin sized quilt, is that much closer to being finished (I estimate only 20 hours left on it)! It will be on my girl's bed in July.
4. Thank you for making me reflect on thankful things. I feel a little better.

I am thankful that in two weeks I will get a seven week break from my job. I am so thankful for my wonderful family and I am thankful for modern day technology which allows us to stay in touch even though we are separated by oceans and continents.
