Tara, for the brand spankin' new
Two's Company Quilting Bee. The red and white quilting bee was the brainchild of my friend
Andrea, and I'm so happy to be a part of it! The
block was actually designed by my friend
Penny. This also doubles as my Fancy Block for the week, a paper piecing challenge that I am doing with my friend
Melinda. I LOVE my quilting friends and I love quilting WITH my friends, even if it is virtually most of the time. :)

I /just/ made this very block! It was the first thing I'd ever paper pieced. Mine is Christmas-themed, to be part of a gift for a friend. I'm not sure I want to commit to a whole Christmas-tree-skirt worth of these blocks, but it could be a potholder if nothing else.
I've long been a fan of this block. And thanks for linking over to Melissa. She's a fun find! BTW, I saw that you're about to cave on the Farmer's Wife QA. I'm holding strong, but it's hard. GRRRR, I'm tough ;)

this block was one of my first paper pieced projects, I made (of all things...) potholders. I was too unsure of the whole paper piecing method which I have come to love.
Your block is darling and reminds me it is time to resurrect a few of those blocks from my UFO pile!
