I've got PIPS!!!! Many many MANY thanks to Thimbleanna for hooking me up with these fat quarters. How I will EVER cut into these little lovelies??? I do not have a clue. Anna, you are a darling! I'm seriously excited for this fabric.
I'm also seriously excited because I've packed up my Juki (in my super cute new suitcase!) and I'm headed to COLORADO!!! I'm teaching (machine quilting) at a retreat this weekend. My stomach has been flip flopping all day. I'm very excited. And a little bit nervous, too.
See you in a few days!
Edited to Add: My suitcase came from Target. It can be found here.

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you won't get better weather! HAve a great trip!
ReplyDeleteYou'll do fabulous! Have a great time!
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy your class. I bet if you relax and just be yourself, it will be a smashing success. I wish I could be a fly on the wall. Better yet, I wish I were going to be there too!
ReplyDeleteOn a separate note, I thought of you today as I was ripping out some quilting. It's so helpful to know that you too change your mind and use a seam ripper.
Have fun!.. can you tell me where I can buy that fabric? LOL
ReplyDeletePlease tell me where I can buy that suitcase !

ReplyDeleteohhhhh how I wish can be there!!
ReplyDeletehave FUN!!!
How did you get your Juki in that suitcase??? I have a Juki TL98Q and I can't even get it to fit in the soft case that came with it. Must be doing something wrong here. Do you take the thread holders off? In any case, wish I were going to your workshop. Hope it's wonderful.

ReplyDeleteHave a great trip!!! You will do great!!!

ReplyDeleteTotally jealous of your quilt!
ReplyDeleteAnd jealous of your weekend at the retreat, too. I'll miss you guys! Of course, I can't complain from here in the middle of the Pacific.... but still. Had so much fun last year, I'm bummed I can't be everywhere at once!

ReplyDeleteAnother question on the suitcase and sewing machine relationaship. Is this a machine bag or a normal suitcase? If tha latter, how do you pack your machine? and a previously asked, do you check it?
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get your suitcase?? It's really cool. Have fun in CO!!
ReplyDeleteThat suitcase is so cute!!! Where did you get it??? I travel a lot for business and would love to purchase that - black is sooooo boring!

ReplyDeletewow ... so excited for you ... :) ... have a wonderful weekend teaching ... :)
ReplyDeletesigh, love this, anna is wonderful
ReplyDeleteTwo serious reasons to envy you. The Pips and the suitcase! Too cute :)
ReplyDeleteLoooove the bag! Machine case nice too, but the baaag:)
ReplyDeleteLove your suitcase.
ReplyDeleteI just crawled out of the computer-less cave I've been in for about a month now and was so excited that you're traveling to teach another class! Have a wonderful time away from home, doing what you love to do.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, if you're looking for a monochromatic quilt color, may I recommend gray? It's the first color that popped in my head when I saw the post before this one, and then I saw a photo you posted several days prior with some fantastic grays in it. I think it would be really pretty and sophisticated.
Thanks for your post. Best wishes on your trip and your teaching.
ReplyDeleteHi, I love your blog!
ReplyDeleteI am looking for a new quilting machine and am very interested to know about your JUKI. Would it be possible for you to write about it on your blog as I am sure others are also interested. I live in Israel and will need 220volts and whenever I look at Juki's website I cannot find anything suitable that has a walkingfoot, drops the feed dogs and even maybe a stitch regulator :) and has a very wide throat. I appreciate and info you can pass on to me. Thanks and warmest regards. Keep up YOUR great work. Sara
Those are THE cutest winter prints! Lucky YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI was just reading through your blog and see that I just missed you coming to Ft. Collins - so sad! I've been loving your quilts for the past year and would have loved to have gone to your class. You mentioned you would be doing it again next year - did you mean in Ft. Collins again??
