Hi, this is Erin and I am in Wiesbaden, Germany, waiting for my sewing machine to make it back across the ocean. SO, if I won these scraps I would experiment with making a scrap rug or something like that requires no machine. Not being able to work on all the projects going around in my head is about to drive me up a wall - I think that's harder that living without the rest of our stuff (since Feb.)!

Hi, I'm Candace and I live in California. If I were to win your scraps I would make a strip quilt for my daughter who is three. Or I would use them to make a snippets quilt with some of my other scraps and give it to a sick child in the hospital. Someone did that when my son was there and it is still his favorite blanket two years later! candacewentzel01@yahoo.com

Hello Amanda Jean!
I love your blog and check it every day for update. You are my inspiration! I'm just finishing my first quilt, putting the binding on it. I made the Snapshot. I'll send you a pic when it's done, because you are the reason I quilt!!!
My name is Stephanie (but really it's Stéphanie with an accent on the first e, because I'm French) and I'm writing from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. If I had cute scraps like the Cherry Oh, I would definatly attempt to make my little girl her first doll quilt. She doesn't have one yet, but she sure loves her dolls! She's only 20 months old.

Thanks Amandajean!!!

I'm Sue and I'm from Seattle. Cherries remind me of my dear sweet mom who loved cherry pie most of all. Her birthday is in July, so I would love to have some of your scraps and do some sewing in the next few weeks. I would use them to make myself a tablerunner and enjoy using it on my kitchen peninsula. I have made a bunch of tablerunners this past year, but have given them all away ... one with cherries would be a keeper.
Thank you for all the inspiration of your amazing quilting.

Chris and Suzette said...

So my name is Suzette and I live in Hershey, PA (the sweetest place on earth" :) I'm pretty much still a novice at quilting, I LOVE it! It's very therapeutic after a full days of chasing and running around 5 little kids all day. I know at this point, there is about no chance of me winning with so many great responses, but I just wanted to let you know how much I LOVE reading your blog and seeing all the BEAUTIFUL quilts you make. It inspires me so much to try new things. The biggest lesson I have learned from you is "SAVE EVERY SCRAP!" It's unbelievable the beauty that can come from things I thought were worthless. My girls are twins that will be on July 16th. When they were born, they were 2 months early and weighed 2 lb 6 oz and 2 lb 10 oz. For the past 4 years I have been saving their very best preemie clothes to give to them when they were old enough to use and appreciate them on dolls of their own. They will get a new baby and their very own preemie clothes for their birthday in a couple of weeks. I'm very excited about this for them as it has such a special meaning to me and hopefully to them as well.

I would love to have these scraps so that I can make them each a special little quilt to go with their new little babies. These colors would go PERFECT int heir room! If there are enough scraps, left over, I will incorporate them into a coordinating quilt for their own bed (they share a double that we turn sideways.) I would have LOVED a quilt to match my babies when I was a little girl and I KNOW they will love that as well.

thank you for all your inspiration! and for letting me share a little about my precious little girls.

Hi, I'm Kit, and I've been inspired by your blog my whole quilting life (about a year and 1/2 now. *hee!*)

As for the fabric, oh my gosh! What wouldn't I make? A tote bag, a pretty little purse, incorporate them into a fresh and pretty crazy quilt, knit or hook them into a pretty rug, show them off in some 4 or 5 inch wonky blocks which could be made into placemats, napkins, coasters, the sky's the limit! But I would give them new life. :)

Hi There~
My name is Debbie and I live in Batavia, IL; 40 miles due west of Chicago !
If I were fortunate enough to win your scraps,
I would use them to make a coin quilt with aqua Kona Cotton as the sashings. Ouuhh, that would be so awesome; I've had that on my "want to do list" for quite a while now~ Thanks for the chance to win your scraps~

hi! My name is San-Dee and I live in Bethesda, MD. I have recently "refound" the doll bunk beds my uncle made me when I was a child. If I won the scraps, I would make quilts for the two beds so I can move them into my living room to display.

Hi, I'm Jen, and I live in Denver, Co. I saw a very cute project for a princess and the pea set. There's a stack of tiny quilts on top of a little pea, with a very cute fabric doll. They all go into a fabric bag. Soooooo cute!

Hi, Nanci here and if I got those scraps, I'd probably admire them for a week and then make a bunch of placemats to be able to look at all the different colours you sent!

I'm kimberlee, I live south of you in IL, and I just started sewing & quilting. I especially love cherries! I'd make a scrappy pillow case from the scraps, my 4 year old would love it!

I love your choices of color in your quilts. If I were to win the scraps, I think I'd keep working on my Mile A Minute scrap quilt and try to get it completed. My favorite quilts are scrappy.

Hi Amanda! Congrats on finishing #20 for the year (WOW!). I'm Samantha and I live near Richmond, Virginia. If I had the scraps I would make a doll quilt or two, piece them together to make a purse for myself, and use them to make a hexagon quilt table topper. To start.
