mini happy hour quilt top

49" x 63"

this quilt was inspired by heather. (thanks friend!) last year when she made a Christmas tree skirt, she used a mini happy hour block rather than the log cabin block. i LOVED it and i just knew i would have to make a quilt using that idea someday. i like how the pattern is modern and the fabrics are soft and feminine. thanks to jessica for two of the fabrics that i won from her giveaway a few months ago. and thanks to beth for a yard of the tracy porter fabric that i received in a swap. it's fun to see my quilt tops come together and see how many friends have contributed to the final product. it makes my sappy heart happy. :)

now i had better get quilting before i get a back log of quilt tops hanging around here again. :)

  13. I thought I liked the happy hour block partly because it was large, but it looks just as great small! You can still see those wonderful fabrics, but the whole blends so nicely.

I really like this one. I have a hard time making quilts with such warm colors as I tend to select bright bold patterns. I love the happy hour pattern.

  37. Hi. What am I missing here? -- I don't see instructions for a mini happy hour block (on your page or on Heather's). Can you direct me?

Thanks for all your wonderful posts and pictures.

Absolutely gorgeous! Love the pattern, I'm currently piecing a lap quilt Happy Hour for my sister's birthday.

Can you provide the pattern/measurements for this mini quilt? Pretty please!

It is stunning - love the color palette & simplicity of it.

  47. kristen in Oklahoma,

i can not share the measurement for this pattern as the happy hour block is a published pattern. even though this is smaller, i still don't feel that it is my place to share that info. i can tell you that it's about 50% of a normal happy hour block.
