today is day 58 of the quilt along.
today is day 58 of the quilt along.
I finished mine yesterday. Are you going to wait until day 70 to give the rest of the instructions for the lattice and borders?
ReplyDeleteI think they will look great! You've certainly got cohesive color in the blocks in this photo!
ReplyDeleteoooooh! i like. what is that hexagon/honeycomb print in the corner of that block that's second from the left on the top....i love it!
ReplyDeletelooks great! I finished all of mine 9-patches and am now finishing the top, layering, and machine quilting to have it ready to bind on a trip this weekend. Such an inspiration you are!
ReplyDeleteAlways,

Next nine-patch project or next quilt-along??
ReplyDeleteThere's always something else in the quilting queue, isn't there?
coming right along, I was doing that too until I decided to cut them up into a disappearing nine patch...shewee, lots of work but turned out real nice.
ReplyDeleteI love looking at the blocks and quilts for everyone in this quilt-along. I wish I'd joined in. Maybe next time! I think your blocks look great!
ReplyDeletecute, cute, cute.
ReplyDeleteloving that green polka dot print!!!
and next one...*sigh*
I am putting my sashing between my blocks right now. It looks great.
ReplyDeleteI am totally ready for the next quilt a long.
i have yet to do a quilt-a-long... hope to join the next one!
ReplyDeleteI finished my 70 blocks on Saturday and can't wait until you tell us what to do next! I also can't wait for the next project!!
ReplyDeletei'm a little nervous to lay mine out all together as well. i hope your's turn out well! :)
ReplyDeleteOooh goodness, I better get all those squares together that I have cut out! I'm interested to see how they mingle as well, but I'm thinking of it as a scrap quilt and determined to appreciate it's happenstance. Way to keep us on course!
ReplyDeleteI just laid mine out this morning. I have 63 and am thinking I will go to 70 or maybe more. I love doing this. Thank you again for the motivation. I put photos on my blog today of the blocks I have.
ReplyDeleteYou're planning your next quilt-along or your next nine-patch quilt. I still have about 30 nine-patches to go -- perhaps more. I'm going to go catch up right now. You know I'm going to do the next quilt-along even though I shouldn't. I can't resist. Plus, it uses up my stash. Always a good thing. I love your Joann's green polka dot. Your blocks look great.
ReplyDeleteI'm quilting my quilt. Really boring lines diagonally. I can't wait to finish this quilt so I can move on to others as well.
ReplyDeleteI'm done with mine too. And just waiting for the word on what to do next.
ReplyDeleteOh. And I'm so already planning my next one too. I LOVED making those nine patches.
Nine patches can be fun!
ReplyDeleteNow starts the fun, creative part. Playing with the layout once all the monotonous sewing is done is very satisfying. Have fun. We always have our next quilt turning over in our mind.
ReplyDeletenow have fun laying them all out! woohoo!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the layout!
ReplyDeleteI've just finished my 84 squares, got a bit carried away! Can't wait for the next step.
ReplyDeleteI finished my 56... i hope your's turn out well!
ReplyDeleteRight.
ReplyDeleteI haven't done any for about 3 weeks. School holidays start here in 3 days. Two glorious weeks without teaching. I WILL catch up!
Has anyone ever called you an overachiever?? :D I have not kept up at all with MY blocks although I have kept up with yours. ;) I still plan on doing it though and keep cutting out little blocks out of my scraps. I think I just wanted a bigger selection in front of me before I started sewing blocks together. I can't wait to see yours all laid out. How big is this going to be??
ReplyDeletei really wanted to play along using zippity doo dah from Sandy Gervais, but I STILL haven't started...I am still planning to do it, I will just have to be waaay behing everyone else!
ReplyDeleteI am just getting into it- finished up #19 today. I think I might just go with a smaller quilt- see how many I can get made quick. thanks for doing this! so inspiring.
ReplyDeleteAmandajean...I have part of mine done but am working hard to catch up. I am so excited and I, too, worry about them getting along. Heather's looks great, though.
ReplyDeleteOf course they will all "get along"! They are from your stash after all. Besides some of the best old quilts are everything but the kitchen sink types and we love to look at all the different little bits in them. :D
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see how this all comes together! It'll be fun to look at the blocks and say "Oh those of from this quilt", etc...--Even I recognize some!
ReplyDeleteI have 54 done. I am loving this. It is such a hodgepodge of stuff I have made in the past. I love seeing the fabric come out of my scrap bins and remembering what I made and who it was for. This has been so fun!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure all those squares will be the best of quilt buds. And another quilt-along...fun!!!
ReplyDeleteLast side of the hand stitched binding to go and I realize I missed a row of hand quilting, grrr. I was hoping to get it washed and all cuddly and fluffy tonight. It will have to wait until tomorrow...... Anxious to get a picture in all this beautiful weather!
ReplyDeleteack! I'm 18 behind now! I think I might just make mine smaller, LOL!
ReplyDeleteDon't do it! Step away from the ideas!!!! I'm behind and I can't catch up!!!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see it all laid out!
ReplyDeleteI finished mine too. I can't wait to lay them all out and see if they get along.
ReplyDeleteThese blocks looks great. I'm making 72 6" 9-patch blocks myself, but not for the quilt along. It's for another project. I just need to square mine up and they will be done. I find it harder to quilt in the summer. I'm more of a cooler weather kind of guy when it comes to quilting.
ReplyDeleteIt will be a crazy quilt party when they all get together !
ReplyDeleteLove the nine patch the fabrics are all so pretty I just finished a yellow and white nine patch and I love it so simple but so effective.
ReplyDeleteLovely, I have only managed about 40 so far but will keep plodding on.
ReplyDeleteI've been on dial up and didn't even see the start. Now I must go back. I am doing nine patch for a project...I may catch up....no, it's not gonna happen...
ReplyDeleteI think they will "get along" beautifully! They look great!
ReplyDeleteI'm 8 days behind, but have lots cut out ready to go, so I WILL catch up. Looking forward to holidays VERY soon.
ReplyDeletei'm stuck at 39. i need to find a way to get back into it... i need more scraps!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see a snap of them all laid out! I think it will look fantastic!
ReplyDeleteAnd I might just have to play along the next time too!
yay! I can't wait to see it all laid out
ReplyDeleteWoohoo! I have more nine patch thingies planned too. So many color combinations to play with!
ReplyDeleteI had so many scraps I am making 100 another day or so to go. Yours look lovely a lot sbtler than mine!
ReplyDeleteit's funny that you say that because i love this quilt soooo much that i've thought the same think. the white sashing will make them play together nicely. :) i was wondering the same thing and then the white does wonders!!!
ReplyDeleteOur guild makes 9 patch quilts to be shipped to a US base hospital in Germany for wounded soldiers. The blocks are designed by the public at events throughout the community. When we get ready to sew these blocks into a quilt, they are quite diverse. But once the sashing and border is one, the quilts are beautiful. We are amazed, but pleased. So relax, your blocks will get along and be beautiful. Pat in CC
ReplyDeleteHi Amanda.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful their blocks.
bjtos.Nile.
it looks great. wish i would have joined!
ReplyDeleteLooks great! I better get moving!
ReplyDeleteAmandajean, You put me to shame. I fell off the radar a couple dozen blocks ago. I think I'll catch up but it might have to wait a bit while we spend our days outdoors. Summer is here for only such a short while.
ReplyDeleteWow!! they look great, can´t wait to see all the blocks together!! I´m so behind!! Good work!
ReplyDeleteHow do you plan on quilting this quilt? I'm doing the sashing now and find that to be a nice change from sewing all those 9-patches together!
ReplyDeleteSo far they look amazing together, I am sure the final version will be stunning! I wish I had done this...I'll join in next time!
ReplyDeleteAaack! I'm behind! I've been quilting a queen size and camping and berry picking and...
ReplyDeleteI just started back in today, and the going is slow! I've run out of scraps and am now being FAR too particular about what goes with what!
i'm sure it will be amazing!
ReplyDeleteLoving the 9 blocks!
ReplyDeleteWow! You are so quick! These 10 blocks look great. I am sadly lagging behind with 22 made...I am plugging along - this is my first quilting experience inspired by you and I am having lots of fun. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteOh, I am sooo far behind. I am sewing and sewing, just not fast enough! Your blocks look great. I can't wait to see the finished quilts.
