Wow, this purse is so fabulous! I have a shoe box full of selvages I have been saving for... something. This looks fun!

I recognize that inside fabric! It's from Joann's! I used it for the outside of a bag then saw Kristin Chenowith's character on Pushing Daisies with an arm sling made out of the same fabric!
But back to your bag - that selvage is awesome!

Dear Amandajean !
You are sooo creative. I came across your blog just like that and its so nicey put together. You seem to have so much to do with your time. Great ! :). I want to start quilting too. Here in India, its not much of a craze and making quilts out of scraps of cloth is like a 'lowly' thing to do. Here, you do that when you can't afford to buy one from the market.
Anyway, I am planning to make mine out of Jaipur and Ahmedabad block printed cotton. Will post pictures when I'm done. Thanks agan for inspiring me :))

How does the iron on vinyl measure up? I've been toying with the idea of using it on the inside of some of the bags I make.

Oh, my gosh! So cute. Really, I had my doubts as I was waiting for the page to load (yes, still on dial-up here). Do I always say that? I'm a natural skeptic, I suppose. But, I. Love. It. Seriously.

And okay. The word verification "word" is deendog. It's making me giggle. = )

This selvage bag is too cute!! I wish I had thought of that!! As I was making a quilt for my best friend who had cancer, I happened to look at the selvage and one of the fabrics said "True Friends" and one said "Best Friends." I couldn't believe it! I still have the selvage edges.
Your site is so much fun! Keep up the good fun!
