500

This is my 500th post, so I'm going to give away this set of 5 fat quarters of Katie Jump Rope fabric. Leave me a comment and I will draw a name to determine a winner. Like last time, leave me your name, where you are from, what your favorite work in progress project is. (Because I am assuming you all have a plethora of WIP's, like me.) :)

Here's an example: My name is AmandaJean and I live in Wisconsin. My favorite WIP is my son's orange and grey quilt. I love it not only because it is coming together nicely, but because he is eagerly awaiting it's finish. He asks me EVERY day if it is done yet. Love that.

Also, I picked a name from all the comments from Small Projects Week, and Katie K, you are my winner. You will receive a half yard of my favorite red polka dot fabric. Thanks to all of you who commented.

Have a great Monday!
edit: the contest is now closed.

My favorite is a tie- I am working on my first sewn clothing item for my daughter- and Oliver and S dress, and I am working on my first quilt- a doll quilt for my daughter's doll. I love reading your blog and hop to someday make some beautiful quilts like you do!

I'm Frogdancer from Melbourne Australia. I work full time and am raising my 4 teenage boys by myself. NATURALLY that's why I chose to start work on a Queen-sized string quilt and a Queen sized hand sewn Tumbling Dice quilt. I obviously have too much time on my hands (cough cough!) I estimate that I'll be seeing these lovelies on my bed by the time I'm ready to retire. But I love the thought of them.
Congrats on the 500!

I am Toby from Texas. My favorite WIP is a new tote/purse I'm starting. I had recently bought some super happy colored circle fabric. I had no idea what I would do with it but HAD to have it. When I found this bag pattern I was so excited 'cause I knew it was for my circles. I have gathered everything for it except a 1" button form for covering (EVERYONE IS OUT) as of today and am ready for tomorrow to get here to start cutting and sewing!

Bethany said...

Hi! I'm Bethany from Duluth, GA. I am trying to finish up several projects. My current favorite is a quilt that I call "Robins on a Wire". I saw a quilt in a magazine of 6 birds sitting on a power line. You can see a little of the power pole. I am making my own version of this with little birds with red bellies. I am in the process of quilting it, but I am doing that differently than I have ever done before. Each section of the quilt is going to be quilted differently, to flow with what it is. Like the wood power pole is being quilted with semi straight lines that end in swirled knots. It is fun, but more difficult than I anticipated.

Hello AmandaJean.

My name is Sarah, and I am writing from Edmonton, Alberta. My favourite work-in-progress is a patchwork bib i am hand quilting for my daughter. I love it because it is my first quilting project (and hasn't yet miserably failed!); because hand-sewing the little squares together is relaxing for my brain; but mostly because I enjoy putting my love into little tactile projects for my daughter while she naps... Just like how I loved folding her onesies and little footy jammies before she was born.

Jeri is said...

Hi! I'm Jeri and I'm from Edmonds, WA. I have many WIP's, too, and so many are just in need of quilting. I'll choose one of them as my favorite. It was a mystery quilt from a local shop hop. Each shop gave us a fat 1/4 and a piece of the pattern. This top is complete, borders completed, and layered, but not quilted. It will also be my favorite when it is no longer a WIP but a finished quilt!

Hey! My name is Adrienne and I live in sunny Florida. My favorite WIP is the socks I am knitting for my guy. I only had to frog them 5 times before getting the rounds going. I am using Bamboo Silk and he will love slipping them on after a hard day's work. If knitting WIPs don't count then I choose the quilt I am making for my friend for her 30th birthday. We've been friends since birth and that's a pretty big milestone in my eyes.

Thanks for the giveaway op and for all the inspiration! Happy 500th!
