500

This is my 500th post, so I'm going to give away this set of 5 fat quarters of Katie Jump Rope fabric. Leave me a comment and I will draw a name to determine a winner. Like last time, leave me your name, where you are from, what your favorite work in progress project is. (Because I am assuming you all have a plethora of WIP's, like me.) :)

Here's an example: My name is AmandaJean and I live in Wisconsin. My favorite WIP is my son's orange and grey quilt. I love it not only because it is coming together nicely, but because he is eagerly awaiting it's finish. He asks me EVERY day if it is done yet. Love that.

Also, I picked a name from all the comments from Small Projects Week, and Katie K, you are my winner. You will receive a half yard of my favorite red polka dot fabric. Thanks to all of you who commented.

Have a great Monday!
edit: the contest is now closed.

HI, first of all congratulations about all this post.My name is Mercedes and I live in Madrid ( Spain ) my favourite wip is just what I´m doing right now and you can see in my blog done with little prairie points quilt with free motion ( I´m a newbie since I found your tutorial )The model is from the Bake shop ( I found when you told about your tutoril there ) and it´s a baby quilt although I added some borders to be bigger, it´s a really nice and easy quilt I will enjoy for myself because the other first three quilts starting with free motions were gifts and now I want one for me !!

Thanks for the giveaway!

Hey, congrats on your 500th post!

I'm Liz, I live in Massachusetts. My favorite WIP is the lap-sized quilt I'm making for my stepmom. I started it six months ago and had the top finished in a weekend. But I procrastinated and procrastinated on the quilting because I'm just not comfortable with it. Well, FINALLY in the last week or two, I've gotten the free-motion stippling thing down and now I am CRUISING! So that's why it's my favorite. :-)

My name is Karen and I'm in Ontario, Canada. My favorite WIP right now is a Mod Sampler quilt which was taught by Elizabeth of Oh, Fransson! I've learned so much from doing it as I have from following your blog. I love it b/c it's the first quilt I've done for my home and I adore the Moda fabrics I'm using.

I'm Andrea in Canada and my fave WIP (out of the huge pile years old) is a recent quilt called "Day & Night" - my own pattern, with yellow and a navy fabric with stars all over it. It has a pieced back in your style. :)

Wow! Congrats on 500! My name is Tina and I live in Rhode Island. I don't have a favorite WIP, which is probably why so many projects are unfinished. If i had to choose, it would be a blue and white quilt top for a neighbor's confirmation.

Hi AmandaJean
My name is Isa, I live in Denmark. My favorite WIP for the moment are my hexagon quilt made of Liberty of London fabric. I love the fabric because of the colorful print, and the feel of it. I fell in love with hexagon quilts at first sight, but this is the first (and certainly not last)that I attempted.
I love your blog!! Thank you for taking time to teach and inspire.

Hello, my name is Elizabeth and I'm from Erie, Pennsylvania. My current favorite work in progress is a birthday banner. I love it because I'm using charm packs that were from my mom's stash. This makes me happy because she picked the fabrics that will be at every birthday gathering in my home from now on; we get to have some small part of her even though she won't be here.

This is Nicole from Annapolis, Maryland. I love reading your blog from my computer at work, it really brightens my day. You are a big inspiration for bloggers and non-bloggers alike. I am working on my second quilt, I'm following your stacked coins pattern, and I really love how it's so cheerful. The only problem is that my stacked coins are not coming out exactly evenly at one end (or I should say, not nearly even!), I need to figure out a solution but I don't have one yet-- any suggestions? I'm also trying to learn to stiple using a quilt top that I don't like. It's tricky and it makes me respect you Professionals even more! I want to to make storage cubes next, hopefully my husband will help me, at this point he's handier than I am!
Best,
Nicole

Hello! My name is Gail and I am from St. Louis. My favorite work in progress is a gnome home! I am loving it. My son loves his haba gnomes, so I thought I could make an easy gnome pattern! Then I moved on to their home. Sort of a smurf house meets PBK's mouse house. Now my daughter thinks she needs one. I have been so busy working on WIP's that I am behind in blog reading and writing. Love the small projects! You are awesome!

Thank you for your wonderful blog -- one of my favourite places to visit each day. My work in progress is a double-bed sized quilt in black and white. Much too ambitious for my limited skills, but I'm hoping it will turn out ok. The top is finished -- waiting for local shop here in Israel to have some cotton batting so I can continue. And awaiting inspiration for what to use for the backing. All the best to you -- from Jean (Nahariya, Israel).

My grandmother made some when I was a little girl, my mom still keeps them in the trunk of her car. We take them to the beach or a park to lay out and sit on. Every time they get used it brings a smile to my face to think that the blanket was made using my papa's old jeans. :)

Hi AmandaJean

I'm AJ (yes, same initials!) and I'm from Scotland. I'm very new to the world of quilting and have learned a lot from reading your blog. You make some great things and it's always a pleasure to see all the wonderful colours and how you put them together.

I have no ambition to make an actual quilt, more into small things like bags etc. I have many UFOs, but I'd like to reinstate one as a WIP - my first patchwork and quilted bag from a Japanese craft book. I just got some handles from Etsy - the same kind as in the book, so this will spur me on to actually *quilt* the sandwiches for back and front and put it all together.

Many thanks and congrats on your big blogthday!

Cheers,
AJ

I'm Charlotte from Texas, and my favorite WIP is actually a ragged squares quilt inspired from your tutorial; I'm excited about it because 1) it's a wedding gift for very dear friends and 2) I'm a quilting novice just getting back into it after quite a hiatus, and this is the first project that I'm doing without assistance (though I have the best quilting mentors) from picking the fabric to sewing the binding.

I so enjoy your blog!
