The flu has decended upon our household. Yuck, yuck, yuck, yuck, yuck! And did I say yuck? (I do not do well with this.) So we will be missing a Christmas party tonight. My oldest is missing his ice skating field trip and crazy hair day at school. He was so disappointed. :(
We are all bundled up in quilts watching movies waiting for the sickness to pass. Thankfully my dear Kev took the day off of work to take care of us.
I agree - yuck! Our whole family had it a couple weeks ago. It was my first throw up experience with Sydney. Again, yuck! So, I feel your pain. Its a good time to sit around and crochet though...dare I ask how your blanket is coming?!
ReplyDeleteHey, one more thing...for the freezer paper stencil project, I used fabric dimensional paint (or puff paint as it was called in the 80's - shudder!). But, I just squeezed it onto a plate and brushed it on so it wasn't puffy at all. The puff paint is cheap and dries quickly. I also bought some textile medium that you can add to any acrylic paint to make fabric paint, but this has to dry for 7 days!!!! I didn't have 7 days for this project, but maybe for a future one, plus I have a ton of acrylic paint already as I am sure you do too! Anway, be sure to post it if you try it out.
ReplyDeleteRoxanne, working on my crochet blanket is exactly what I am doing today....it is at 25 rows now. I am farther along than ever, which is encouraging. So it is going well! Thanks for the tips about the paint. And yes, I do have a plethora of acrylic paint. How did you know?
ReplyDeleteOh NOOO! Sorry the sickies have descended upon your happy home! Hopefully it will work its way out of your family by next weekend!
ReplyDeleteSickness-yuck. I think that the first year of school brings more sickness...kids aren't immune to all the community germ sharing yet.
