WIP-waiting for spring

My WIP list is down to 7 (!!!!) and I am fully expecting my resolve to crumble any day now. I am afraid that if/when I give in, I will do something crazy.... like start 5 quilts all at once! (I was up to 25 WIPs at one time, not that long ago. How on earth?!?!)
This has to be my oldest WIP, currently. It's going to be a larger, scrappy version of my waiting quilt. (The pattern is available here.) I'm pretty sure that the last time I worked on this was in the summer of 2014. It's so old it's practically new again! Ha! I am still loving this quilt, which is a very good thing. I finished up 2 blocks last night, and I hope to keep adding steadily to that finished number. It's a perfect project to combat the cloudy, dreary days of January.

  7. How coincidental that you posted this--I just found the blocks I made for my brights-on-black version just the other day. :)

  14. It's such a happy cheerful quilt, bringing the promise of warmer weather and more colour. I'm so bored of long grey winter days.

  17. Congratulations on only having 7 WIPs! Don't give up. Please finish all seven and then let us know how it feels to have no WIPs hanging around. I doubt if I will ever know that feeling. PS I love your Waiting quilt. I won a package of mini charms once and never have had a good idea on how to use them.

  20. You are much better than I. I pulled out an old WIP and have my fingers crossed that I can remember what the plan for it was. I'm adamant that it will be done for this Valentine's Day so I better get hopping.

  22. I absolutely LOVE this one. It's making me want to start a new project. But, as we know, my WIP list is a little longer than yours. So I shouldn't. But I DO have a ton of scraps. Anyway, I love this one. It is so fun. I love how bright it is. I'm so impressed with how you are soldiering through your projects. Such resolve!

  23. I'm laughing while reading your post, because I lost my resolve just from January 13th! When I was writing that post, about my UFO's (what you are calling WIP's), a box of pre-ordered fabrics arrived in the mail! And what did I do? Well, you know--lost my resolve! I have worked on some of my UFO's also, but not like I should have. BTW--love your colorful quilt!
