Liberty Giveaway 2

It's Monday! Doesn't it seem like a good day for a giveaway? How about a Liberty giveaway? That's even better!
My lovely friend, Anna, who carries Liberty in her on-line shop, is giving away one bundle of Liberty Tana Lawn fat eighths to one of my readers. This is a 10 piece bundle, each piece measures 9" x 13". If you would like your name thrown into the hat, please leave me a comment in this post. In your comment, I would love to hear what your favorite kind of pop/soda is. (I had my 12 year old son come up with the question this time. Can you tell? :) ) If you had any idea of what you would sew with this fine fabric if you win, I'd love to hear about that as well.

Please, only one comment per person! The giveaway is open to US and international readers!

Happy Monday to you!

I would make a pin cushion of 1" squares and applique some on wool a la Sue Spargo circle wall hanging...and put some in the new scrappy bear paw quilt that I am starting...still thinking of other ideas. Oh, and my pop flavour.... The only pop I drink, if I drink pop... is Pepsi, caffeine free. I know, boring.

I like ginger ale.
I would love to make a sleeveless top with lawn, which I can't find locally. Obviously the fat eighths won't work for that. Hmmmm, I'll need to think some more!

My favorite soda is the root beer you get from Colonial Williamsburg.
Thanks for the give-away.

Am I too late? Well, I will give it a try. My favorite soda is just plain seltzer water with flavoring like lime or lemon. If I win the giveaway I would make a quilt out of Liberty! I love those soft, bright fabrics.

Those are gorgeous! I have become a Coke Zero person. It's a bad habit!! Diet Dr. Pepper is also pretty awesome, especially from Sonic with their great ice and a shot of vanilla added!!

Don't drink too much any more but when I do it's ginger ale.

Diet Coke is my favorite. I think that these would work well foe EPP hexagon flowers, or little zipper bags, or both!

Unknown said...

Diet Mountain Dew is my favorite pop! :)

I don't drink much 'soda' at all, but once in a great while when it's super hot outside, a nice cold Pepsi WITH a small bag of salted peanuts poured inside is great. That odd concoction is a throwback from my childhood, and the taste of salty and sweet brings back great memories. The Fat Eighth is beautiful!

What a fun question !! My favorite carbonated drink currently is cherry Pepsi with real sugar it's only out for a limited time and you'll find it more at gas stations than grocery stores but its really good. I think I follow Annie on Instagram she has such a beautiful feed, if I win, and I really hope I do I'm going to use the fabrics in my little zipper pouches that I've been making. I love the little dainty florals. Thanks for the chance.

It is Orangina - we did not have any soft drinks, when I was a child, but my grandmother had always some bottles of Orangina for the grandchildren- I loved it and I prefered it for the nearly sixty years, that are behind me now!
From the beautiful liberty-fabrics, I would sew a little sweet quilt! I love the soft colours from liberty!!!!!!!!

Amanda Jean,
It's 50/50, the grapefruit/lemon/lime soda sold in the Midwest. I grew up in Wisconsin sipping that stuff and each time I visit I have to buy a ton and take some w/me too:) Thank you son, great way to reminisce about the good ole days.

I don't drink it often but I do love ice cold Coke as a treat every now and then as a treat. And if I won this bundle, I would sew something just for me! Maybe I would finally try a small bag or pouch.

If I drink it, which is rare, rare, rare, I enjoy Dr. Pepper. Mostly I like coffee though. ;-)

I love all the different, regional names!... Here in Michigan we call carbonated drinks "pop"!
I never liked anything carbonated, so almost never drink any pop. I like the taste of root beer (especially with pizza!)... Just don't like the carbonation!
When I'm sick with a fever, or flu, though, I'll drink Ginger Ale to help me get through it.

Love these beautiful Liberty prints!!!
I would use them in a Liberty prints quilt I want to make for my daughter!!

These were really fun comments to read! Its a great question, actually! So interesting to me that so many commented on whether they call it soda or pop. Its soda here, it we called it pop when I was young. My favorite is Pepsi, but sometimes I crave a Mt. Dew or a ginger ale. Soda is a once or twice a month thing for me, usually only when we go to a restaurant.

The liberty fabric is lovely. I've never seen any in real life, but I always think, "I bet it feels delicious!". Love to find out!

Ohhh! Ahhh! Wow! I adore these fabrics. I would leave large pieces of them to show them off and build blocks for a sofa throw. They are gorgeous! Thank you for this offer.

I don't drink soda anymore, but if I had to choose I would choose either Diet Coke or Orage Crush!

It's always been root beer, memories as a youngster at grandma's in what seemed to be the best biggest glass for floats.....
I might make a bag/purse with these beautiful fabrics.....
Thx

Nothing quenches my thirst like an Orange Crush! What is your son's favorite?

I have seen some adorable small patchwork pouches that would be perfect for the Liberty fabrics!

Diet sierra mist, at present. Have no idea right now what I'd do with the fat quarters. I am working on a catheral windows quilt for my grandson's wedding in Scotland on Saturday, and your Trees quilt for grandson who got married last September.

I love Diet Coke. I would use the fat quarters in a scrap quilt. They would add wonderful color and style.

Love the fabrics in the give away! Thank you. I don't drink pop/soda but I do drink soda water with a slice of lemon out of my wine glass when I want to have a treat but no alcohol.

My favorite soda is Diet Coke! I'd love to make a scrappy little quilt. It would be a great way to get back into quilting.

I'm a Pepper! Yep, Dr. Pepper is my favorite soda.

I'm hooked on Diet Pepsi. LOVE this giveaway - wow! Would love to add this to other bits that I'm hoarding for a baby quilt.

I don't normally drink much pop, but when I do it is IBC cream soda! Can't get it in Canada unfortunately :(
