For the new year I hope to find a little more time for quilting.
I would love that green bundle for the quilt for the master bedroom I have been meaning to start...greens and grays!
ReplyDeleteNew Years Eve we always do the same thing. Since we have three small children, we stay home, play classic Nintendo games (NES!) and order pizza. Then we go to bed at 12:01. Ha. :) Thanks for the giveaway!
Thank you for the chance to win one of these yummy bundles.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to making a number of quilts for more of my nieces and Nephews in the New Year, I made one each for twins and now their older sister says she would love one.....so wild fire has spread in my family....no complaints from Me!!!

ReplyDeletethanx for the chance.
Your blog is so inspiring. I'm hoping to tackle many of your tutorials in 2012. We are spending New Years with old friends and their new baby!
ReplyDeleteOOOOHHHHHH! Lovely bundles.
ReplyDeleteI used to have one New Year's Eve rule...that I don't cook dinner, so we would go out even if it was only to a diner. But with the little ones now, we just stay home. Instead of dinner out, we get a bunch of munchies like mozzerrella sticks and potato sticks and stay up only as long as we are able. I know, not exciting, but when we rarely get a full night's sleep the "party" dies out early.
My mom, siblings and all their families will be here on New Year's Day to celebrate Christmas.
In the new year I look forward to finding the time to do a lot more sewing. I have so many projects in various stages and there has been little time to work on any of them. I hope I have a lot of things crossed off my To Do list before the next New Year's Eve,
Love your blog, you are such a great teacher. I have a couple of quilts to finish and a few to start! Happy New Year to you too!
ReplyDeleteNew years eve at home.
ReplyDeleteI gave up on big NYE celebrations a long time ago! Just can't stay up late any more!
ReplyDeleteOur New Year's Eve plans consist of moving my daughter and her boyfriends furniture to their apartment (hopefully) and also some sewing. Haven't seen much of my machine during the month of December.
ReplyDeleteThe fabrics have such great colours!! For NYE I am spending the night with my BF which is really great as we didn't get to spend Christmas together, now we get to bring in the new year together!!
ReplyDeleteoh yay! both bundles are so cute. I will be spending NYE with my Hubby and our new puppy, eating finger foods and watching movies!
ReplyDeleteI'm hosting a small party for our closest friends tomorrow night. Thanks for the giveaway and Happy New Year!

Hubby and I will be reviving an old French Canadian family recipe we just found in my Grand'mere's cookbook: making tourtiere (pork pies) for New Year's Eve celebration was de rigeur in our family. We will stay home and toast the New Year with some Merlot. Julierose
ReplyDeleteWe'll be at my dad's so hubby can hunt for deer. It'll probably be an early night as our baby still doesn't sleep through the night.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to a new year and lots of sewing.
Such yummy colors! New Year's Eve is hubby's birthday and our favorite thing to do is stay home. Splurging and making Prime Rib for supper thoug. It's also the last night with our Marine son before he delpoys so I'm going to stop time if I can.
ReplyDeletegreat giveaway.
ReplyDeleteWe will be gourmetten (http://www.gourmetten.com/) a very Dutch thing I don't know what it's called in English. My daughters love it. We will be staying in as our dog may be afraid of fireworks. She is a puppy and it's her first new year, so don't know how she'll react.
Wow! What a giveaway! Tomorrow on new years eve I have been married to my hubby for 12 - TWELVE - years... and still in love... the very first thing my family is doing this new year is to travel. 01.01.2012 at 7 am our plane is leaving for Spain (Tenerife) and for a week we will enjoy a warm holiday... which we haven't been able to for some years - due to illness... oooooh we are exited... I will bring some knitting and stitchery... crazy for some, but my favorite activites... I'm hoping to blog our photos - as we are bringing no less than 5 cameras for a family of 4 lol...
ReplyDeleteI'm going to spend New Year's Eve in the company of great friends...hopefully I can stay awake until midnight! These fabrics are lovely! Thank you for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI plan on having a day as usual. I dont think I will be watching the ball drop.
ReplyDeleteI am awaiting the arrival of my new-to-me sewing machine. So, my New Years Eve will be spent lining-up projects for my new machine. I will also be celebrating with my kiddos, toasting-in the new year with sparkling cider. My goals for 2012 are mainly to bust my stash, which is comprised of several fabrics given to me by people cleaning out their basements. It's fun to see what I can create out of things bought by people who never knew each other. I also plan to make a gameboard quilt with a friend. I could really use some greens for the twister board. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
ReplyDeleteNYE at home with my family - a time to reflect over the past year and plan for the new year.
ReplyDeleteWishing you and yours a very Happy New Year!

We're staying home! I know it sounds boring, but we always have fun and it's much more safe and much less stressful. Thank you for the wonderful give away chance. Happy New Year!

New Year's eve will be much quieter than last year when we invited the parents over and ripped down the wall between the kitchen and dining room. This year I think we will be happy with a full on wii monopoly showdown and something bubbly to drink. Happy New Year and my fingers are crossed that the green stack jumps it's way over to me :)

New Year's Eve around our house is generally pretty quiet. Or at least we hope it will be because now that fireworks are legal in Arizona, we get a bit more noisy and the dogs go a bit more crazy.

Such pretty fabrics!

ReplyDeleteNew Year plan is to stay home and off the roads, have a little party with a few simple hordevours (cucumber slice, cream cheese, chives on a crispy cracker) and maybe some bacom wrapped chestnuts.
Love the green colored bundle! Our son was born 3 months early - weighed 1 pound 13 oz - last Nov. I wanted to make him a quilt during my pregnancy, but with his early arrival, and the 99 days in the NICU, plus all the doctor's appointment this past year I have not had the time to make a quilt. Hopefully, this next year I can get one done. Our son, Jackson, is doing great. He is a whopping 18 pounds now and so precious. Would love the green bundle -- those are the perfect colors for his room decor. Love your quilts and blog! Happy New Year, too!

ReplyDeleteWell, I feel like I am still recovering from the holidays, so I haven't thought much about New Year's Eve. But I typically celebrate pretty low-key with a few friends. Cheers!

ReplyDeleteLovely yummy fabrics! We are sacrificing our new years eve plans to spend 10 hours in the car tomorrow driving back from our son's where we have been lucky enough to spend two days babysitting our only grandchild. I'd do it again in a heartbeat!
ReplyDeleteI'll spend some of the car time dreaming of my 2012 plans for quilting now that I am retired.
Thanks for all YOU do in the blogging world.
Jan
We're home-bodies! I'm just hoping my husband will get off work on time (4 pm)! I'll watch the ball drop, but other than that? *shrugs*

ReplyDeleteI'm working on NYE from 7a-9p so not too much time left for partying. I'll be too tired to do anything. As for the the new year, I'm hoping to finish up as many UFOs as I can. I started a public challenge on my blog, hoping to get a bunch done!
ReplyDeleteI usually sit by the windown and wait until my children are safely home on NYE. This year however, we are going to Baltimore to meet up with old high school friends. It has been over 20 yrs since we saw them. Thanks for the fabric giveaway!

Since my New Year's resolutions have a way of falling by the wayside, I have given myself a more concrete goal this year:
ReplyDeleteInstead of saying I will "get in shape", I am going to train for a 5K Race in May - hopefully, that will give me the added motivation to follow through!
Quiet night at home with my husband on New Year's Eve. I am looking forward to the coming year watching my granddaughter grow (7 mo.), sewing for her and getting chickens in the spring to entertain her ;)
ReplyDeleteI will spend NYE at home with family (Hubby, kids 2x3,5 and 6months) and hope to get some sleep too...
ReplyDeleteLovely giveaway, thanks and fingers crossed!
I enjoy your blog very much and look foward to all of your creative ideas and just barely keeping up with you. You have a lot of energy. Good for you. My husband and myself will be enjoying a crab salad with french bread for dinner. I will enjoy a glass of Arbour Mist Strawberry White Zin and he will enjoy 2 beers. Will eat and be merry and watch tv. It's safe and we can't get into any trouble. Your giveway will make a wonderful quilt for welcoming 2012. Thank you and Happy New Year.

Those are some seriously pretty bundles! I've always been a sucker for pink and green. Our plans are simple, stay home. We have 4 kids and finding child care isn't always so easy. Especially late night child care!

Green is my favorite color! But pink is great, too.
ReplyDeleteI'm planning to move the clocks back 3 hours so my kids (11, 10, 8, & 6) can celebrate and then go to bed at 9!
love the blog!
Thanks for doing a giveaway! No New Years plans do to having a newborn. Looking forward to getting in shape, losing this baby weight and having more time to quilt in 2012!
ReplyDeleteI plan on spending New Year's Eve with my little grandson, while his parents enjoy a party. I think I'm the one with better plans!
ReplyDeleteMy husband & I are spending it quietly, at home. Maybe some champagne at midnight. Did I mention "The Walking Dead" marathon on AMC? I'm there! Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteWe will spend a quiet evening at home eating, drinking(non-alcholic) and playing board games.
ReplyDeleteGetting the mortgage paid off and working on my family history.
Love your blog
Love the pink! We are staying home and having my husband's co-worker's over for NYE!
ReplyDeleteWe usually watch movies on New Year's Eve. Thank you for the giveaway and the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteWould love to win, Thank you for the giveaway!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm going out for one of the first times in years! Should be interesting (I'm not a going out person!).
ReplyDeleteMy New Years plans are to watch Deathly Hallows Pt. 2 and eat an amazing meal (filet mignon and crabcakes, yum!) with my husband. Hopefully my 11 month old will stay asleep through through most of the night.
ReplyDeleteDelicious fabrics!! My NYE is very low key, hubby and I at home with a glass or two of bubbles and a dinner of grazing on indulgent dips and cheeses!
ReplyDeleteFor me it's the time of year to purge and reorganize. I don't spring clean -- don't see the point with kids running in & out all summer long -- but I do a thorough cleaning in late fall and then I finish up after the holidays by getting rid of all those things we don't like or use anymore. It's nice to have a refreshed home in the midst of winter. And, after the holidays, I'm happy to have a slower pace -- more time to play with the kids and sew. :-)
ReplyDeleteI just want to say thank you, Amanda Jean, for giving us all so much inspiration thru your blog. Best wishes to you and your family for a happy and prosperous New Year!
Sincerely,
Heather B.
Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI plan to stay home and enjoy my family...of course maybe a little crafting too!

ReplyDeleteLasagna, board games, watch the ball drop on the TV, then bed.
ReplyDeleteI'm sending the evening with dear friends, reflecting on an amazing year. 2012 will be a year of new direction for me!

Oh, first of all, THANKS for the chance to grab up some of these gorgeous fabrics.
ReplyDeleteMy wish for the new year is to heal from my injury/surgery. I've been working hard in my physical therapy sessions.
I also am looking forward to my husband's retirement that MAY be happening this year.
Happy New Year to you!
We plan on a quiet New Year's Eve. All energy will be needed to organize my sewing 'stuff' in the new year. LOL Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteWe have no New Year's Eve plans. I am so tired from the last month of constant sewing that I think I'm going to go to bed early.
ReplyDeleteOne of the things I look forward to the most about this next year was actually inspired by your "Finish it Up Friday" posts. I went through and made a list of all of the projects, sewing or otherwise, that I have started and never finished. There were a TON. My goal is to cross off all of the current projects. I look forward to the day when I can announce on my blog that they are, in fact, all finished! That will be quite the Finish it Up Friday post! :D
Beautiful colors!
ReplyDeleteI just moved to San Francisco a few months ago (from MS), and my younger brother was planning to come for a visit to celebrate the New Year... sadly, my grandmother passed away unexpectedly, so I will be spending New Year's Eve on a plane to attend her funeral.
I'm planning on staying home for New Year's and trying to get healthy. I just came down with my son's cold. But, I am looking forward to getting my first really good sewing machine (a Janome) next week, as a late Christmas present.
