500

This is my 500th post, so I'm going to give away this set of 5 fat quarters of Katie Jump Rope fabric. Leave me a comment and I will draw a name to determine a winner. Like last time, leave me your name, where you are from, what your favorite work in progress project is. (Because I am assuming you all have a plethora of WIP's, like me.) :)

Here's an example: My name is AmandaJean and I live in Wisconsin. My favorite WIP is my son's orange and grey quilt. I love it not only because it is coming together nicely, but because he is eagerly awaiting it's finish. He asks me EVERY day if it is done yet. Love that.

Also, I picked a name from all the comments from Small Projects Week, and Katie K, you are my winner. You will receive a half yard of my favorite red polka dot fabric. Thanks to all of you who commented.

Have a great Monday!
edit: the contest is now closed.

I'm Etta from Iowa. My favorite WIP is a stripie for myself. It is the first quilt that I will keep for myself instead of giving it away.

I love that it has a pieced backing. I had never seen them, before encountering them on your blog. Now, I am huge advocate. As I especially love the idea of two quilts in one.

Thanks for letting us peer into your life.

Hi Amanda Jean, my name is Micha and I live in Sammamish, WA. My favorite WIP is the baby quilt for my friend's nearly 5 year old son. The fabric is from her baby shower and due to my procrastination (slowness, having two small boys myself), it was saved from being destroyed in their house fire two years ago. For once it pays to procrastinate. :) My goal is to complete it by June before his birthday.

Congratulations on reaching 500.

I'm Lisa from Johannesburg, South Africa. I read your blog regularly and have saved your pages on the quilt-alongs. Your blog has been helpful to me as a newbie quilter.

I am in the process of 3 quilts (2 are from blogs who are doing them as BOMs with embroidery) and 1 from a magazine, also with embroidery.

I like the colours of the fabrics in the picture.

My name is Susan, and I live in Florida. My favorite WIP is my stacked coins quilt (working from your tutorial). It's actually WsIP, because I'm making two at the same time: one as a gift and one for my 6-yr-old daughter. I'm making the first stacked coin quilt for a woman in our church who has been living with many different trials in her family for several years now, and she needs a quilt. I picked a couple of fun cat fabrics (she has many cats), and since my daughter loves cats (we have no cats; husband's not ready yet for them), I'm making my daughter one at the same time as I'm making the other. I love it because I can't wait to give Rita from church something to bring joy to her heart whenever she's troubled - she can look at the cat quilt and know she's loved and being thought of and prayed for. I also love it because my daughter will have one too! And the fabric is colorful, delightful, and just plain fun!
