I love it, also! Strong colors that brings out true holiday spirit! Glad you got time to do it. I wish I am able to sit down and sew but I just had hysterecomy so I had to limit myself to very few things to do like knitting or hand sew. But once I am better, I will be back to quilting! I have some updated on my blog, http://holtgallery.wordpress.com/
Seriously, do you ever sleep? How do you keep your children fed/bathed/clothed ~ your house clean, your bills paid, etc...etc...and still find time to pound out these amazing quilts? I'm totally in awe of you!!! ;)
I agree with Jessica. I am in awe of you and your talent and I'm completely inspired as well!! (Not inspired enough to try that myself-I know my limitations-but inspired just the same.) Awesome quilt top!
Heh Amandajean, you know I love brights and have just finished one with lots of greens too. I must say your quilting has inspired me for the past year and seeing what you do just keeps me getting better and better. I love your simple designs. Do you use warm cotton Batting? I do, it makes quilting so easy. Merry Christmas
Wow!! So beautiful! I hope it's ok if I link to your blog--your doll quilt and pillow tutorial changed my mind about what I'm making my nieces for Christmas. I'd love to put a few of your pictures there too, with credit to you of course! I am so glad I found your blog--lots and lots of things for me to peruse still! Have a great weekend. Hallie
OK now let's get serious here. Day 1 you start. Day 2 you finish. In between you probably cooked, cleaned, and cared for the kids. So the question is -- exactly when did you sleep?? giggle
It is darling. Congratulations -- I bet that is record time? Yes
WHAT are you doing to me? Because I only discovered your blog recently, I am sorely behind on making all your gorgeous quilts! If you could just slow down, it would help me catch up. =) I love how this one turned out!
I'm so impressed! It's beautiful. You are so incredibly fast. What's the trick to caring for the house and kids and still getting quilting time in...not mention time to post on this blog?
But you just started it..... I really like this but then again I don't think I've ever seen anything you did that I didn't like. Very nice and glad it is for you.
Whoa! Beautiful and FAST! That would literally take me months to do, if I even could make a quilt that gorgeous! I just made a little bag which took me about 6 hours. LOL Anyway I *love* your quilt! --Jen
The quilt is awesome and I have already figured out that you must not sleep but you must also have a wonderful husband that helps out and allows you all this time to be so creative. Please thank him for all of us who love to watch you work.
Oh, I hope my Christmas quilt comes out 1/2 as amazing as yours! So, so cute. Tonight = me + my sewing machine + my Christmas fabric. We'll see what comes of it!
I know I have already left one comment but I just had to tell you that I finally finished my quilt top from the first quilt along. I posted it on my blog under :my inspiration" and after quilting and binding it I will move on to the star quilt. Thanks as always. You are a great teacher. Once I get it quilted I will post more pics.
Great job!! I love the different colors and the pattern is perfect for those prints you really don't want to cut to pieces. It is amazing how fast you get your quilts done!!
You are amazingily talented. But seriously, when do you sleep?? and those kids?? do you lock them away or do you just have one of those rare husbands that looks after them so you can do your stuff??!!
Another winner! How can you quilt plus plow your way through all the comments? I hope you don't feel the need to respond to all of us. Just know that evidently the whole world loves you work and your speed.
Your Like Speedy Gonzales!! I wish I could piece a quilt top so quickly! Personally, if it's Christmas related it's gotta be Red, White, and Green. Great job and fun pattern.
I really like this pattern. It is not so scrappy looking that you can't see a definite design, and it is has a comtempory flair to it as well. Definitely a "must make" in the near future. I can't wait to see how you finish it out. Did you use a specific fabric collection or just scraps you had? I know, I know, you have already heard it near a hundred times already, but gheez, you are the fastest quilter I have ever run across (with kids too)!!!! ~Jan
You inspire me every day. I'm not up to a Christmas quilt though it's on my list of things to do (for next year!!) but I am finishing up my first ragged squares quilt for my brother for Christmas...THANKS!
Great job on the quilt! Super Fast & Easy, isn't it?! You can purchase the design directly from the designer (me!) for those wanting measurements. Thanks so much for showing everyone how versatile this pattern is!
