And I wasn't seriously thinking about jumping in on this one, either, until I caught your comment about 36 patches/36 blocks/36 years. Well, with my 36th birthday less than a month away, I was a goner. So I'm making it as a birthday gift to myself, and I'm throwing in fabrics and colors I love with wild abandon and complete disregard for what 'ought' to go together. I've blown through the first 18 blocks and hope to tackle a few more today.

The real proof that I was meant to make this quilt? There's a print in my stash that I was saving for something special, and it will be big enough for the back of this with literally not one inch left over. Serendipity!

Thanks for the fun project idea!

Leah in CB, IAAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37018101.post-18500903646297495512011-08-06T23:58:55.398-05:002011-08-06T23:58:55.398-05:00I love your blocks! I was so excited thinking I was done that I laid them out on the floor and now I wonder if I should do more...which is insanity, really! I cut all the strips out the first week while I was on vacation and had free time. I am finding and using fabrics I haven't seen in 10 years or more and am finally cutting into some that I loved, but was saving for Lord knows what.
